Their popularity is quickly growing, partly because of their VIP Warranty and partly because their products are great value for money. VIP stands for Very Important Promise – they promise to repair and replace any damaged or faulty product of theirs at no charge.
Vortex products are made in different countries, depending on the series. Some series are made in China and the Philippines, while the others are made in Japan and America.
Strike Eagle is an entry-level series of tactical riflescopes and one of the most famous series from Vortex – these are great scopes for the price. The series is designed for long-range tactical shooting, but not for precision shooting. As regards the price, the riflescopes in this series are set between 400 and 800 €.
All riflescopes in the series are of the second focal plane (SFP) type and there are several different lens diameters at disposal. They all have illuminated reticle and can be purchased with EBR-4 MOA or AR-BDC reticle.
All of the products in this series are made in China and are covered by Vortex VIP Warranty.
Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50 is a great scope from the Strike Eagle series and has been designed for long range tactical shooting. It offers 6x zoom with 4x minimal and 24x maximal magnification.
The one-piece housing is made of aircraft grade aluminum alloy with an anodized black matte finish. The riflescope is nitrogen purged for fog-proof and waterproof performance. Because of the rugged construction, it is shockproof and can withstand the recoil of high levels. The main tube diameter is 30 mm, there is no mounting rail underneath it. In order to mount 4-24x50, you need the mounting rings which fit this diameter.
This is a second focal plane riflescope (SFP), meaning that the reticle is located behind the magnification lenses – it is of the same size at all magnifications. There is only one reticle available, EBR-4 MOA. It is illuminated to aid you when light conditions are not ideal and has 11 intensity levels. There is no off switch between illumination levels. The lenses are fully-multi coated with anti-reflective coatings which increase the glass quality. The battery used is CR2032.
This Strike Eagle model features exposed, multi-turn tactical turrets with a turn indicator but there is no Zero-lock mechanism. The parallax can be set anywhere between 20 yards and infinity. The clicks on the riflescope are in minutes of angle, each audible click moves the point of impact for ¼ of MOA. The riflescope has a true MOA/MOA configuration.
The 4-24x50 models come with a durable objective and eyepiece bikini cover made of rubber. A microfiber cloth and sunshade are included.
The product comes with 10 years of warranty. You can read more about the warranty policy here.
