Aimpoint Acro mounting standard was first introduced on Acro P-1 and C-1 red dot sights which were released in 2019.
There are grooves on the sides of the mounting surface which clamp onto an adapter designed for it. One of the grooves is movable – you can fix it in place with a screw. Additionally, there is a 4mm wide recoil stop between the middle and the rear section of the mounting standard.
There are no screw holes on the mounting surface as fixing the sight onto the adapter is done solely with the screw on the side.

Red dot sights that feature the Aimpoint Acro mounting standard can be used on handguns and rifles. Most are of the enclosed reflex type, slightly bigger than red dot sights with the Docter/Noblex mounting standard and smaller than those with Aimpoint Micro mounting standard.
Most Aimpoint Acro mounts are made from aluminium. They are mainly produced by Aimpoint.

Even though Steiner MPS’ mounting surface looks different from the one on Aimpoint Acro sights, the characteristics that make up its mounting standard (the distance between the grooves, the position of the recoil stopper) are identical, therefore mounts designed for Aimpoint Acro can be mounted on Steiner MPS as well.
