Docter Classic 8x56 Illuminated is an upgraded version of the Docter Classic 8x56 with a normal reticle. This scope was optically designed for highest possible light transmission. Due to the fixed magnification it has the smallest possible number of lenses that would hinder light on its way through the scope. All lens surfaces are coated with sophisticated multilayer coating named Docter Multitop which provides excellent light transmission rate shown on the picture bellow.
For brightest possible image impression in low light situations Docter Classic 8x56 Illuminated scope has an exit pupil with a diameter of 7mm. This equals the value to which normal human eye pupil can expand and the hunter can get the brightest image perception possible. Other optical properties like resolution, edge resolution, color fidelity, etc. are also nothing short of exceptional for a scope of this price class. Illuminated reticle and really advanced system of illumination also enhances low light capabilities of this riflescope compared to the non-illuminated version of Docter Classic 8x56. Illumination system is powered by a standard CR2032 and operated by a simple turn of a button. The intensity of the illumination however does not grow linearly with the button position, instead it progress much slower. This way it can never happen that the reticle illumination intensity would be too powerful and would obstruct the view on the target. Progression of the intensity in relation to the button position can be seen on the following graph and in this VIDEO review.
This scope is a true “wild boar” scope or as Germans say “sauenglass” and it is hard to find a better alternative for hunting at dusk, dawn or when the moonlight is the only source of light.
Docter Classic 8x56 rifle scope has a 30mm tube and can be mounted on a rifle with 30 mm mounting rings. Version of this scope is also available with LM rail - traditional prismatic rail for mounting - Docter Classic 8x56 (LM rail).
