Hawke Vantage IR rifle scopes are have very similar models like in the Vantage group of rifle scopes, but the main difference between these is the IR (Illuminated Reticle). So all rifle scopes in The Vantage IR series have an additional reticle illumination, that has red and green illumination, and each has 5 brightness intensity settings. The illumination turret is located on the opposite side of the windage turret, so it is easy reachable and usable.
Rifle scopes with AO abbreviation have a Adjustable Objective parallax ring, that is adjustable from 10 yards (9meters) to infinity, and models without this abbreviation have fixed parallax at 100 yards (91 meters). All rifle scopes from this series come in a 1 inch main tube so there are many mounting solutions available, and the main tube is made from a single piece aluminum for more strenght and reliability. Also many different reticle choices are availabe, for any kind of hunting situations. The reticle is located in the second focal plane (reticle size doesn't change with magnification) so the reticle dosn't cover a lot of the target at bigger magnifications.
The elevation and windage turrets are capped for protection against accidental movement, and all rifle scopes are nitrogen filled for fogproof use at low temperatures, are shockproof and waterproof. The lens are fully multi coated for more light transmission, contrast and resolution.
The Hawke Vantage IR rifle scopes can only be mounted with 1 inch rings.
