General description:

Benelli Armi S.p.A. was formed in 1967 from a motorcycle business. Benelli brothers were passionate hunters as well as fine engineers – with the help of Bruno Civolani, they developed an extraordinary hunting shotgun that used a simple inertia driven mechanism in place of a conventional gas-operated system. Today, they are best known for producing shotguns for law enforcement, military and civilians. Benelli M3 12 gauge, used by American SWAT teams, is perhaps their most famous firearm.

Physical properties and dimensions:

Benelli Super Black Eagle I was one of the very first introduced semi – automatic firearms, which was availiable for Magnum shotgun cartridges (89 mm). Barrel's length are 61, 66 and 71 cm. Barrels are interchangeable, overally firearms weights aproximatelly 3.3 kg. Additionally, some models are manufactured for left – hand users but only those with 66 and 71 cm barrels. There is also a slug version of this model availiable with 76 mm chamber and 61 cm long barrel. Rifles are produced with two different stocks made of plastic and wood. Benelli Super Black Eagle I is a predecessor of Benelli Super Black Eagle II and III. Model Super Black Eagle was chambered in 12 Gauge. Additionally, surface of the rifle's receiver is not drilled for the purpose of mounting solutions. Holes should be drilled and tapped by a skilled and experienced gunsmith. Some version of this rifle have an extended magazine which can hold up to 10 rounds. Note, that dimensions of Benelli Super Black Eagle I, II and III are the same.

Which are: LM rail, Zeiss ZM/VM rail, Swarovski SR rail and S&B Convex rail. Ordinarily, they are designed with windage adjustment incorporated in their design and are commonly more expensive.
