Marocchi is an Italian company specialized for production of hunting and sporting shotguns. It was founded in 1922 by Stefano Marocchi and has since then been managed and led by family members. Their first over-under named SM57 was produced in 1957. A great boost of company’s recognizability came with Michele Pietro Marocchi winning European Clay shooting championship.
At the end of the 80s the company even produced shafts and rocker arms for diesel engines on the CNC machines. The experience accumulated in this field turned out to be very beneficial, as severe technical standards imposed by the automotive industry contributed to Marocchi being one of the first firearm factories to obtain the ISO9001 Quality Certification. In 2008 Marocchi bought the leading company in terms of production of PCP air rifles, called Daystate and this acquisition brought a lot of knowledge in the field of precise mechanical production.
Marocchi FinnClassic 512S break action rifles are based on Tikka 512S and Valmet 412S rifles from Finland. When the Beretta took over Sako/Tikka, the production of those rifles moved to Marocchi factory in Italy, at which point the name of the rifle changed to FinnClassic 512S. They share the same mechanical aspects of the gun, the only thing that changed are the finishes and aesthetics. For mounting purpose, it has a 12mm dovetail with a transverse notch. The firearm is available in 3 combinations:
2 shotgun barrels, available in 12 gauge with different barrel lengths: 66 cm, 71 cm and 76 cm.
Combination of shotgun barrel and rifle barrel. It is available in the following calibres:
12 gauge for shotgun barrel and
for rifle barrel.
For double rifle barrel, user can choose between following calibres:

This means if one of the rifle mounts is named for one of the rifles mentioned in the list, it will fit others as well.
Since this is a break action rifle, we would recommend you to equip it with extended mounts, which would in most cases provide you with the most optimal eye relief.
One of the most appropriate fixed mounts would be this Kozap mount, as it is placed in the perfect price range for this rifle.
The price of this INNOmount is somewhere in the middle, but an advantage compared to other detachable mounts is clamping mechanism, which ensures better repeatability.
We would recommend MAKipp Picatinny rail, as it is one of the few that would fit this rifle.
If you have this rifle or any other rifle at home, we would really appreciate it if you could send us some photos of the rifle receiver (mounting surface of the rifle when there are no mounts installed), because it would help us expand our rifle mounts database. If you send us a photo of rifle receiver which we don’t already have, that would be of great value to us and we will definitely reward you for your help.
