    Nikon EDG Binoculars.

    Description of Nikon EDG Binoculars

Nikon offers outstanding EDG series designed in Japan to impress with many exceptional features. These high-end binoculars combine comfortable ergonomics, brilliant optics and unbreakable durability, able to outperform all competitors. You can choose between five models that belong in the size of compacts and all-rounders, for everyday use in the wildlife. They are suitable for wide varieties of applications, from birdwatching, hunting, traveling, hiking, mountaineering and also marine use.

    Basic Features

Nikon EDG series offers incredible ergonomics thanks to roof prism straight-through design and very compact bridge that lies at the top allowing you to get enough free area to tightly hold them. Compared to the finest competitors the dimensions of EDG binoculars are incredibly small, which makes them even less fatiguing to carry around. The construction is enclosed in rubber armouring which is incredibly thick and durable and makes them able to withstand impacts. Tight seals prevent the corrosion. They are not just waterproof but also submersible to a water depth of 5 meters, which means they can easily withstand such pressure. EDG binoculars are also filled with nitrogen gas to prevent the formation of condensation that occurs due to temperature fluctuations. All in all, they are able to withstand in severe environments, the desert heat or subpolar cold. They are also equipped with a thread where you can mount these EDG binoculars on.

    Optical Properties

Nikon EDG binoculars offer outstanding optical performance, able to reveal even the smallest details. Staggering view-through is the result of ED – extra-low dispersion glass elements that reduce chromatic aberration, making images razor sharp. The Eco-glass is free of lead and arsenic, which makes them environment-friendly. The field flattener lens system is another powerful feature that reduces curvature of the field and makes incredibly vivid, almost surreal view-through. On top of that, the lenses are fully multi-coated for better light. The prisms are phase-corrected and have a dielectric high-reflective layers and silver prism coatings. This high-quality optical technology helps with incredible resolution, higher contrast and better color rendition from edge to edge. Nikon EDG series offer fantastic central focusing, with smooth and velvety turns. The grippy central focusing knob also integrates diopter that is accessible by pulling out the wheel. Eyecups are rubberized, detachable and offer five different positions, to help you get perfect eye-relief even if you are eye glass wearer.

The EDG come in a padded case for storage and protection. There is included neckstrap for carrying and objective lens covers and rainguards for additional protection of the lenses.
