Bushnell Trophy Xtreme 8x56 Details

If you require the very best low light performance possible and the size and weight of your instrument is not a critical factor, then at this price the 8x56 Trophy Xtreme is hard to beat. Good quality optics and coatings combined with the large 56mm lenses and 8x power produce a giant 6.9mm exit pupil that is certain to more than enough light to your eyes, no matter the conditions.
This combined with the wide field of view makes this binocular a perfect choice for birders, hunters or indeed anyone operating at dusk, dawn or in places like thick woods where light levels are low and observation distances are not huge.
These also make a great choice as a wide angle binocular for astronomy.
The 17mm of eye-relief on this model and the twist-up eyecups with click-stops ensure they can be adapted to your exact requirements to attain the full view, with or without glasses.

About Bushnell Trophy Xtreme Binoculars

Consisting of just three roof prism instruments, the defining feature of the Trophy Xtreme series is their large objective lenses designed to maximise their performance in low light conditions. This along with a number of other features like a fully multi-coated optical pathway ensure that not only do they capture more of the available light, but as much of it as possible gets transmitted through the binocular and into your eyes.The 10x50 and 12x50 models cater for the mid to long range observers, whilst the 8x56 Trophy Extreme and the resulting 6.9mm exit pupil extend their effectiveness very poor light even further. It also provides the user with a wider view that has many benefits, especially at shorter ranges.

Important Features

Despite the large lenses, these Bushnell Trophy Xtreme binoculars are comparatively lightweight and have a sleek body shape making them comfortable to hold in your hands even over long periods. As well as comfort, this also aids image steadiness which is especially important on the higher power models. you can also easily attach them to a tripod using a standard adapter for completely steady images. All models have a large centrally located focus wheel and a right eye diopter adjuster to calibrate them perfectly with your eyesight. The twist-up eyecups have three position click-stops help maintain the perfect eye-relief for use with or without glasses. These binoculars are waterproof and fogproof and the exterior surface is covered in a protective high-grip rubber armour that minimises reflections and improves camouflage.

Optical Properties

The fully multi-coated optics help with both light capture and ensures that as much of that light gets transmitted through the instrument and onto your eyes.
All models also contain roof prisms fashioned from high-grade BaK-4 optical glass. Added to these are coatings of a special material that corrects the problem of phase shift. The result is both the resolution and contrast of the image are enhanced when compared to untreated roof prisms. Furthermore, to help protect the beauty of nature that we wish to observe, Bushnell emphasise that they only use environmentally friendly lead-free glass in these binoculars.

Accessories

Bushnell Trophy Xtreme binoculars come supplied with the usual arrangement of accessories including a carry case, padded neck strap, a rain-guard and cleaning cloth. You will also find flip-down lens covers. Tethered to the chassis, you simply flick them open and they hang down out of the way when glassing, but are always readily available to replace when you are finished to ensure your lenses get the maximum protection and stay cleaner for longer.
