Nikon Prostaff P7 10x30 Product description

  • 10x magnification in a compact body: The 10x30 format brings distant birds, wildlife and details closer while keeping the binocular easy to carry on hikes, travel days and long observation sessions.
  • Wide, well-controlled view: A 115.00 m/1000m field of view helps with locating moving subjects and following them smoothly, which is especially useful for birdwatching and general outdoor observation.
  • Comfortable viewing with 15.40 mm eye relief: The eyepiece design gives a more forgiving viewing position and makes the binocular easier to use for extended sessions, including for many eyeglass wearers.
  • Waterproof, fogproof construction: Nitrogen filling and sealed construction help the binocular stay ready in rain, damp woodland, cold mornings and changing temperatures.
  • Close focus down to 2.50 m: The short close-focus distance lets the binocular work not only for distant subjects but also for nearby details such as butterflies, plants and feeders.

About the Nikon Prostaff P7 Series

The Nikon Prostaff P7 series was introduced on June 9, 2022 as the successor to the PROSTAFF 7S line, and it sits as the top series in Nikon’s PROSTAFF binocular range. It is built for users who want a practical field binocular for birdwatching, nature observation, sports events and hiking, with a clear step up in coatings, handling and weather resistance over more basic models.

Across the range, Nikon uses roof prisms with phase-correction and dielectric high-reflective multilayer coatings, together with multilayer-coated lenses and prisms to improve contrast, brightness and image fidelity in everyday outdoor light. The series also adds oil- and water-repellent coatings on the objective and eyepiece lenses, which makes it easier to wipe away rain, fingerprints and dust in the field. A locking diopter adjustment ring is another defining feature, helping the binocular keep its setting once adjusted. All PROSTAFF P7 models are waterproof and fogproof, with nitrogen gas and O-ring seals, and the lineup covers compact 30 mm models as well as larger 42 mm and 50 mm versions for users who prioritize either portability or low-light performance.

About the Nikon Prostaff P7 10x30

The Nikon Prostaff P7 10x30 is the compact, higher-magnification option for users who want more reach without moving to a larger 42 mm binocular. Its 10.00 x magnification is well suited to identifying birds at distance, scanning open ground, or picking out details at sporting events, while the 30.00 mm objective lenses keep the binocular lighter and easier to pack than full-size alternatives. At 470.00 g and 125.00 mm long, it is a practical choice for travel, day hikes and general outdoor carry.

The optical layout balances reach with usability. A 115.00 m/1000m field of view is broad enough to help track moving subjects, and the 15.40 mm eye relief supports a more relaxed viewing position during longer sessions. The 3.00 mm exit pupil suits daylight and mixed-light observation, where the 10x image scale helps reveal fine detail. A 2.50 m close focus also makes the binocular versatile at short range, so it works well for nearby wildlife and nature study as well as distant observation.

Mechanically, the binocular is designed for straightforward field use. The central focusing system allows quick adjustment as viewing distances change, while the left-eye diopter setting lets the user tune the binocular to their eyesight. Nikon’s waterproof and fogproof construction, with nitrogen filling, adds confidence in wet weather and changing temperatures, and the rubber-armored exterior improves grip and day-to-day durability for hunting optics and general outdoor use.

About Nikon

Nikon was established in Tokyo on July 25, 1917 as Nippon Kogaku K.K., and it later adopted the name Nikon Corporation on April 1, 1988. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the company works across imaging products, precision equipment, healthcare, industry, components and digital manufacturing. In sport optics, Nikon’s range includes binoculars, fieldscopes and laser rangefinders, with product families such as MONARCH, PROSTAFF, EDG, ACULON and High Grade.

Within binoculars, Nikon is known for combining practical field design with established optical technologies such as multilayer-coated lenses to improve light transmission. Its long history in optical manufacturing is reflected in a broad lineup that covers compact travel binoculars, general outdoor models and more specialized observation optics. For products such as the PROSTAFF P7, Nikon’s strength lies in delivering weather-resistant, user-focused binoculars with clear handling priorities for birdwatching, hiking and general nature observation.
