Crimson Trace Brushline 3-9x50 Brushline BDC

• 3-9x magnification range: Covers the classic hunting span from closer woodland shots to longer field edges, so the scope stays useful across changing terrain without adding unnecessary bulk.
• 50 mm objective lens: The larger front lens helps maintain a brighter sight picture in the first and last light periods when game is often most active.
• CT Custom BDC reticle: The holdover layout gives multiple aiming references beyond the main crosshair, helping shooters make faster corrections at varying distances without dialing turrets.
• Side parallax adjustment: Fine-tuning parallax from the shooting position helps keep the reticle and target on the same focal plane, which supports more precise shot placement.
• 1-inch aluminum tube: The compact tube format keeps weight moderate and fits a wide range of common hunting mounts while still providing the durability expected for field use.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline Series

The Crimson Trace Brushline series sits in the company’s hunting riflescope range as a straightforward line for shooters who want familiar magnification ranges and uncomplicated controls. Crimson Trace separates Brushline from Brushline Pro, with the standard Brushline models focusing on practical hunting use rather than more specialized long-range features. Across the series, the common formula is a second-focal-plane reticle, a 1-inch tube, and a non-illuminated layout that keeps the image uncluttered and the scope easy to operate in the field.

Brushline models are offered in 3-9x and 4-12x configurations with 40 mm or 50 mm objective lenses, covering common deer, varmint, and general-purpose hunting roles. The series includes both CT Custom BDC and CT Custom BDC Rimfire reticle options, giving shooters a choice between centerfire and rimfire-oriented holdover patterns. In the standard CT Custom BDC version, the diamond aiming references provide several distinct hold points, which is useful when distance changes quickly and there is no time to dial corrections. Overall, the Brushline family is built around a simple idea: practical magnification, familiar handling, and reticles designed for real hunting shots.

About the Crimson Trace Brushline 3-9x50 Brushline BDC

The Crimson Trace Brushline 3-9x50 Brushline BDC is a classic hunting riflescope configuration built around a versatile 3-9x magnification range and a larger 50 mm objective lens. That combination makes sense for hunters who move between wooded cover, open lanes, and field edges, where a lower setting helps with target acquisition and a higher setting gives more confidence for careful shot placement at longer distances. The larger objective also supports a brighter image in dim conditions, which is especially relevant for dawn and dusk use.

This model uses the CT Custom BDC reticle in the second focal plane, so the reticle keeps the same apparent size as magnification changes. For many hunters, that means a sight picture that remains easy to see at low power and familiar at high power. Crimson Trace’s BDC pattern uses diamond aiming references to provide multiple hold points, making it practical for shooters who prefer to hold over rather than dial elevation in the field. The non-illuminated design also keeps operation simple and avoids unnecessary visual distraction.

Mechanically, the scope follows a traditional hunting layout with capped turrets, a 1-inch tube, and side parallax adjustment. Capped turrets help prevent accidental movement while the rifle is carried, while side parallax adjustment allows a sharper target image and more precise reticle alignment from the shooting position. The nitrogen-filled, waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction adds the kind of environmental resilience expected from a hunting riflescope that may spend long days in changing weather.

About Crimson Trace

Crimson Trace was established in 1994 and is known for firearm aiming and illumination products. The company built its reputation with laser sight lines such as Lasergrips, Laserguard, and Rail Master, and it also developed the Lightguard family of firearm-mounted lights. A defining part of the brand’s design approach is Instinctive Activation, which uses pressure-pad placement that works with a normal shooting grip rather than requiring a separate, deliberate switch movement.

In addition to lasers and lights, Crimson Trace also offers riflescopes and rangefinders, extending its catalog into hunting and shooting optics. The company operates a facility in Columbia, Missouri, United States. Within the optics category, Crimson Trace products generally focus on practical field use, straightforward controls, and reticle systems intended to support fast, repeatable aiming rather than overly complex operation.
