Aimpoint ACRO S-2

• 9 MOA red dot for fast leads: The large red aiming point is easy to pick up against sky, brush, and fast-moving birds, helping the shooter stay focused on swing and lead instead of searching for the dot.
• Enclosed ACRO design: The protected emitter stays shielded from mud, rain, and debris, which matters on a shotgun carried through wet cover or used in poor weather.
• Integrated shotgun rib mount: Built to fit most ventilated shotgun ribs, the low-profile mounting layout keeps the sight close to the bore line for a natural gun mount and an uncluttered view.
• 50,000-hour battery life: Aimpoint ACET technology and a CR2032 battery support years of use, reducing battery changes and making the sight practical for a gun that needs to be ready at any time.
• Compact, recoil-ready housing: The aluminium body is light at 68.00 g yet built to handle hard field use, so it adds minimal weight while standing up to repeated shotgun recoil.

About the Aimpoint ACRO Series

The Aimpoint ACRO series began in 2018 with the P-1 and established Aimpoint’s compact enclosed-emitter format for users who needed a small reflex sight with better protection from the elements. The family now spans P, C, and S variants, each aimed at different mounting arrangements and shooting roles, from pistols and secondary carbine optics to hunting and shotgun use. A defining trait across the line is the enclosed optical design, which helps keep the emitter clear of mud, rain, and other obstructions that can disable open reflex sights.

Aimpoint positions the ACRO range for shooting sports, hunting, personal protection, law enforcement, and military use, which explains the series’ emphasis on compact dimensions, simple controls, and dependable operation. The second generation, introduced in 2021, refined the concept further while keeping the same basic idea: a sealed red dot sight that remains easy to mount on different firearm platforms. Within the wider Aimpoint lineup, ACRO models sit as compact enclosed reflex sights for users who want the speed of a red dot with more environmental protection than an open-emitter design.

About the Aimpoint ACRO S-2

The Aimpoint ACRO S-2 is a 1x enclosed reflex sight configured specifically for shotgun use, rather than adapted from a rifle or pistol optic as an afterthought. Its defining feature is the 9.00 MOA red dot, which is intentionally larger than the dots commonly used on precision-oriented sights. On a shotgun, that larger aiming point is an advantage: it is faster to see during a mount, easier to track during a swing, and better suited to bird hunting, clay shooting, and other fast target presentations where speed matters more than fine aiming.

The sight’s integrated shotgun rib mount and low, compact shape help it sit naturally on the gun without adding unnecessary bulk above the rib. That keeps the presentation familiar and supports a clear sight picture on moving targets. The enclosed ACRO housing also gives the S-2 a practical field advantage over open reflex sights, because the emitter remains protected from water, dirt, and debris when the shotgun is carried in rough cover or used in poor weather.

Aimpoint’s push-button intensity control and 10 intensity settings make the dot easy to tune for changing light, including bright sky conditions where a weak dot can disappear. The sight is also operationally parallax free, so there is no need to center the dot perfectly in the window before taking the shot. Combined with 50,000.00 h of battery life from a CR2032 cell, shockproof construction, and a weight of only 68.00 g, the ACRO S-2 is built for fast handling and dependable use on a working shotgun.

About Aimpoint

Aimpoint AB was founded in February 1975 in Malmö, Sweden, and the company is closely associated with the early development of modern red dot sighting technology. In the same year, Aimpoint launched the Aimpoint Electronic, recognized as the world’s first commercial red dot sight. That history still defines the company today, as Aimpoint remains a Swedish manufacturer specializing in red dot sights for hunting, sport shooting, and professional users.

Across its lineup, Aimpoint focuses on dedicated red dot optics rather than a broad mix of unrelated sporting optics. Its product families include compact models such as the Micro series, developed as a smaller red dot sight for hunters, as well as the ACRO range and larger hunting-oriented sights in the Hunter series. For a product like the ACRO S-2, that specialization matters because it reflects decades of work in rugged sight construction, efficient illumination systems, and practical aiming solutions for real field use.
