Shilba Illuminator 3-10x44

• 3-10x zoom range: Covers the practical middle ground for stalking, general hunting, and range use, giving a wider view at 3x and more precise shot placement at 10x without changing optics.
• 44 mm objective lens: Balances light-gathering ability with manageable size, helping maintain a bright sight picture in low light while keeping the riflescope compact enough for field carry.
• Second focal plane reticle: Keeps the reticle visually consistent through the magnification range, which many hunters prefer for a clear aiming point that does not appear to grow or shrink in the image.
• Capped multi-turn turrets: Protect the adjustment settings from accidental movement during transport and hard use, while still allowing repeated elevation and windage corrections when needed.
• Nitrogen-filled weatherproof construction: The waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof build helps the scope stay reliable through rain, temperature changes, and recoil in demanding hunting conditions.

About the Shilba Illuminator Series

The Shilba Illuminator series sits in the brand's hunting-oriented riflescope range as a practical line of variable-power optics built for general field use. These scopes are designed around the needs of hunters who want a familiar magnification range, straightforward controls, and a durable construction that can handle regular use on sporting rifles. In the lineup, the series focuses on versatility rather than specialized long-range competition features, making it well suited to stalking, woodland hunting, and mixed-distance shooting.

A defining trait of the series is its combination of variable magnification, a hunting-friendly objective size, and a compact one-inch class format. The design favors a balanced rifle setup that remains easy to carry and quick to shoulder. The series also uses a second focal plane reticle layout, which keeps the reticle appearance consistent as magnification changes, and it is built with nitrogen-filled internals plus weather-resistant construction to support use in changing outdoor conditions. Altogether, the Illuminator family is aimed at shooters who value a dependable riflescope for everyday hunting applications rather than a highly specialized tactical optic.

About the Shilba Illuminator 3-10x44

The Shilba Illuminator 3-10x44 is configured as a flexible hunting riflescope for shooters who need one optic to cover short-to-medium field distances. Its 3-10x magnification range is broad enough for fast target acquisition at the low end while still offering the image scale needed for more deliberate aiming at longer distances. Paired with a 44.00 mm objective lens, it offers a useful balance between brightness and portability, avoiding the bulk of a larger front lens while still supporting low-light hunting sessions around dawn and dusk.

This model uses a 2. focal plane - SFP reticle arrangement, which keeps the reticle size visually stable as magnification changes. In practice, that gives the shooter a familiar sight picture across the zoom range and helps preserve a clean aiming point at higher power. The capped turrets suit a field rifle well because they reduce the chance of accidental adjustment when the rifle is carried through brush, into vehicles, or in a case. The multi-turn turret layout still allows meaningful correction when the rifle is being zeroed or fine-tuned.

With a 25.4 mm tube, 331.00 mm overall length, and a weight of 545.00 g, the scope stays within the proportions many hunters expect for a traditional sporting setup. Nitrogen filling, along with waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction, supports dependable use in wet weather, changing temperatures, and normal recoil conditions.

About Shilba

Shilba traces its origins to an optical workshop near Osaka, Japan, in 1960. The brand developed early riflescope expertise through hunting applications, including a project in 1975 when technicians from Argentina traveled to Japan to create a riflescope for hare hunting. Shilba's first two riflescope models were 4×32 and 4×40, and the first production run of 2,000 units sold out in under 60 days, showing strong early demand for the brand's sporting optics.

In 1981, the current owners acquired the Shilba brand together with its know-how and business contacts. Today, the company offers a broader optics range that includes riflescopes, binoculars, monoculars, spotting scopes, and scope mounts and rings. That background keeps Shilba closely tied to practical field optics, especially products intended for hunting and general outdoor shooting use.
