Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 1.5-6x42

• Wide 1.5-6x magnification range: covers fast, close shots at the low end and gives enough reach for more deliberate placement at longer woodland and field distances, making it well suited to stalking and general hunting use.
• 42 mm objective with fully multicoated lenses: helps maintain a bright, clear image in the first and last light periods when game is most active, while also improving contrast for faster target definition.
• Illuminated 4A IR Dot reticle: the bold outer posts draw the eye quickly, and the red illuminated center supports precise aiming against dark backgrounds or in fading light.
• 30 mm nitrogen-filled tube: provides a robust platform with useful adjustment travel, while the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction keeps the scope dependable in changing weather and under recoil.
• Capped hunting turrets and fast-focus eyepiece: protect the zero during field carry and let the shooter bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly, which is practical for rifles that are used across changing terrain and light conditions.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting Series

The Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting series sits in the brand’s hunting-focused riflescope range as a line built around practical field use, especially where shots may come in low-light conditions such as dawn, twilight and shaded forest ground. In its current form, the series is offered in several familiar hunting magnification classes, from compact low-power models to higher-magnification versions for more deliberate shot placement, all sharing a 30 mm tube and a straightforward mechanical layout intended for reliable day-to-day use.

A defining feature of the series is ETE Microlux optical coatings, which are used to reduce reflections from lens surfaces and support better light transmission. Across the range, Nikko Stirling combines these coatings with multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof and shock-proof construction, giving the series a clear emphasis on durability as well as usable image quality in difficult weather. Illuminated variants are designed around fast target acquisition in subdued light, with reticle options intended to remain easy to pick up without cluttering the sight picture. The result is a family of hunting optics that prioritizes simple handling, dependable construction and a bright, practical image over unnecessary complexity.

About the Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 1.5-6x42

The Nikko Stirling Diamond Hunting 1.5-6x42 is configured as a versatile hunting riflescope for stalking, woodland hunting and mixed-distance shooting where speed matters as much as precision. Its 1.5-6x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: at the low end it remains easy to use on moving game or sudden opportunities at short range, while 6x provides enough image scale for more careful shot placement when the distance opens up. Combined with a 42 mm objective, the scope balances useful low-light performance with proportions that still suit a rifle carried over long distances.

The optical layout is supported by fully multicoated lenses, which help preserve contrast and brightness in the edge-of-day periods that matter to hunters. The 4A IR Dot reticle in the second focal plane keeps the aiming pattern visually consistent throughout the zoom range, so the sight picture stays familiar whether the scope is set for quick work or more measured shooting. Red illumination adds a clear central aiming point that is easier to hold on dark animals or in shadowed cover.

Mechanically, this model follows a practical hunting format. Capped turrets reduce the chance of accidental movement while the rifle is slung or carried through brush, and the available elevation and windage range is suited to normal zeroing and field correction. The fast-focus eyepiece speeds reticle setup, while the 30 mm tube, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction make the scope a dependable choice for changing weather and regular recoil exposure.

About Nikko Stirling

Nikko Stirling traces its beginnings to 1956, when it was established by Malcolm John Fuller. The brand focuses on sport optics for hunters and marksmen, with a product range that covers riflescopes, binoculars, reflex sights and laser rangefinders. Its riflescope families include Diamond Hunting, Diamond FFP, Metor, Panamax, Airking and Mountmaster, showing a long-standing emphasis on optics for both field hunting and target-oriented shooting applications.

Within the wider optics category, Nikko Stirling also offers Metor HD binoculars, PRO-T5, PRO-T4 and XT4 reflex sights, and NSLRF laser rangefinders. That breadth is relevant here because it reflects a manufacturer built around practical shooting and observation equipment rather than a single product niche. In riflescopes, the brand is known for producing accessible, field-oriented models that emphasize usable reticles, durable construction and straightforward operation for real hunting conditions.
