Zeiss Sport Optics
Carl Zeiss AG with headquarters in Oberkochen, Germany was founded in 1846 and is still one of the oldest optics manufacturers in the world. Founder optician Carl Zeiss together with Ernst Abbe and Otto Schott made a foundation of modern optic manufacturing. The company starting with microscope production and by world war I were the leading in production of cameras with Jena glass (today SCHOTT AG) and apochromatic lenses founded in 1884. In 1928 the Zeiss company launched the sports optics and in 1970s produce the series of high-quality cameras. Divided into smaller companies throughout the decades, the company finally united in the 1990s and in 2013 renamed the brand simply “Zeiss”. Nowadays ZEISS company dedicated its work by offering high-quality products in microscopy, medical technology, vision care, industrial metrology, spectroscopy, planetariums etc. with more than 160 years of experience.
When it comes to sports optics, Zeiss offers high-end binoculars, monoculars, riflescopes, spotting scopes and rangefinders. Its pioneer knowledge and spirit makes Zeiss company the world leader in sports optics. Their innovative technology using the best materials and optics solutions inspires every hunter, bird watcher and other nature lover to this day. Zeiss offers three optics series among binoculars and riflescopes, TERRA as entry class, CONQUEST as middle class and VICTORY for most demanding users. These products are equipped with hydrophobic LotuTec® and T* coatings. Lenses have a fluoride elements and some offer HT – high transmission SCHOTT glass.
