Longshot Marksman

• 300-yard remote target viewing: The Longshot Marksman lets shooters see impacts from the firing line instead of walking downrange, which speeds up zeroing, load development, and practice sessions.
• UHD CrispEdge imaging: Its 2688 x 1512 image helps make bullet holes and shot placement easier to read on paper targets, reducing guesswork when making corrections.
• Direct app-based wireless connection: The system connects straight to compatible iOS and Android devices without internet, cellular service, or a hotspot, making it practical on remote ranges.
• Live stream with shot-analysis tools: Real-time video, pinch-to-zoom, shot markers, and group measurement tools help shooters confirm impacts and evaluate groups without breaking position.
• Portable weather-resistant design: A compact, tripod-adaptable housing with internal battery power and waterproof, fogproof construction is easier to deploy near the target in changing outdoor conditions.

About the Longshot Marksman Series

The Longshot Marksman series is built as a 300-yard target-camera system for shooters who want a simpler way to confirm impacts at distance. Within the Longshot range, it sits between shorter-range systems and the company’s longer-distance camera options, giving rifle shooters a practical solution for common zeroing and practice distances. Longshot positions the Marksman for precision rifle shooting, hunting-rifle setup, steel-target work, PRS practice, ELR training, and even air-rifle use.

A defining trait of the series is its direct wireless connection to phones and tablets through the Longshot app, so the system works without internet access, cellular service, or a hotspot. The camera streams live UHD target video and supports tools such as shot markers, group measurement, pinch-to-zoom, and zeroing adjustments. That makes the Marksman series useful not only for seeing hits, but also for tracking group shape and making sight corrections more efficiently. Longshot also gives the series an upgrade path, as the Marksman can later be converted to the LR-3 platform for shooters who want greater distance and multi-camera capability.

About the Longshot Marksman

The Longshot Marksman is a wireless target camera designed for shooters who need a clear view of the target out to 275 m without repeated trips downrange. Its 2688x1512 CMOS sensor and CrispEdge Ultra HD image output are aimed at showing bullet impacts with enough clarity for zeroing rifles, checking groups, and confirming corrections from the bench or firing point. For practical range use, that means less interruption between shots and a faster feedback loop when adjusting optics or ammunition.

The system works through an app-based connection and supports both Android and iOS, so a phone or tablet becomes the viewing screen. Live video streaming, still-image capture, video recording, and video output all help the Marksman serve as more than a simple spotter. It can document a session, save target images, and let shooters review strings of fire afterward. Because the connection does not depend on range Wi-Fi or mobile coverage, the camera remains useful at isolated outdoor ranges where conventional network access is unreliable or absent.

Its field design also suits repeated transport and setup. The internal battery is rated for 12.00 h, which supports long practice days without frequent charging stops. A tripod-adaptable body helps position the camera for the right viewing angle, while the composite housing and waterproof, fogproof construction make it better suited to damp mornings, dusty firing lines, and variable weather. For shooters who later outgrow the standard distance, the Marksman also offers a path to LR-3 upgrade compatibility.

About Longshot

Longshot is the product brand of TargetVision, a company founded in January 2013 and based in Pearland, Texas. The business grew from its founders’ experience with CCTV systems, which shaped its early target-camera concept and its focus on transmitting a clear image from the target back to the shooter. Longshot specializes in wireless target cameras and related software for shooting practice and training rather than general outdoor optics.

Its product range includes the Ranger, Marksman, and LR-3 target-camera systems as well as the Hawk spotting-scope camera. A defining part of the company’s approach is direct wireless communication between camera and viewing device, so the systems do not rely on internet access or cellular service at the range. That emphasis on self-contained operation has made Longshot particularly relevant for shooters working at remote ranges, during zeroing sessions, and in structured precision-rifle practice.
