Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-36x56 XRS3

• 6-36x magnification range: This wide zoom range lets the scope cover precise load development, PRS-style stages, and long-distance target work without changing optics, while still giving enough low-end magnification for faster target acquisition on closer arrays.
• First focal plane design: The reticle stays proportional throughout the zoom range, so holdovers and corrections remain valid at any magnification. That matters when stage time is limited and there is no time to dial for every shot.
• Locking tactical turrets with zero stop: The turret system is built for repeatable dialing and fast return to zero, helping prevent accidental movement during transport or positional shooting while keeping elevation changes easy to track under pressure.
• 56 mm objective with fully multicoated optics: The large objective and coated lenses support a bright, high-contrast sight picture, which helps with spotting impacts, reading mirage, and resolving small targets at extended distance.
• 34 mm argon-purged tube: The larger tube provides generous internal adjustment, while the waterproof, fogproof, shockproof construction and argon filling support reliable use in rain, dust, and rapid temperature changes.

About the Bushnell Elite Tactical Series

Bushnell Elite Tactical sits in the company’s precision-optics lineup and is built around the needs of shooters who work from midrange out to long distance. The family includes SMRS, DMR, and XRS variants, giving the series a broad role that spans practical competition, tactical use, and disciplined long-range target shooting. Across the range, the emphasis is on usable reticle designs, repeatable mechanical adjustment, and magnification choices that match specific shooting distances rather than general-purpose hunting use.

Within the series, Bushnell positions models such as the XRS for military, law-enforcement, and competitive shooters, while reticle options include MRAD-based layouts suited to modern dialing and holdover methods. The design philosophy is straightforward: robust construction, precise turret behavior, and optical performance that supports spotting trace, reading wind, and making corrections quickly. That makes the Elite Tactical line especially relevant for shooters who need a riflescope that can move from square-range zeroing to match stages or extended-distance engagements without changing the way the reticle and adjustments are used.

About the Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-36x56 XRS3

The Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-36x56 XRS3 is a purpose-built long-range riflescope that combines high 36x top-end magnification with a practical 6x low end, making it well suited to precision rifle competition, target shooting, and other applications where small targets and exact shot placement matter. The 56 mm objective helps maintain a bright image at higher magnification, which is useful when trying to resolve target edges, spot impacts, or read mirage at distance. Bushnell’s fully multicoated optics support contrast and image clarity, while the fast-focus eyepiece helps the shooter bring the reticle into sharp focus quickly before a stage or firing string.

This model uses a first focal plane reticle, an important advantage for shooters who rely on holds and rapid corrections. Because the reticle scale remains accurate across the zoom range, the scope can be run at whatever magnification best fits the stage without changing the meaning of the subtensions. The 34 mm main tube provides a strong platform and enough internal travel for serious distance work, with 29.00 mrad elevation and 15.00 mrad windage adjustment available. Tactical turrets, locking function, and a zero stop system make the XRS3 easier to manage during repeated dialing, while the 10 MIL per turn layout keeps elevation changes easier to read under time pressure.

Parallax adjustment from 45,72 m to inf. helps the scope stay useful across a wide range of distances, from closer zeroing work to extended-range shooting. At the same time, the waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof build, combined with argon filling, gives the XRS3 the mechanical resilience expected from a serious tactical riflescope.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell, who began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California. Over time, the company developed into a broad sports-optics brand with product categories that include binoculars, riflescopes, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras. Its focus has remained on practical outdoor and shooting applications rather than specialist laboratory optics.

Today, Bushnell is known for sports optics and outdoor products used in hunting, target shooting, birding, and nature observation. Its lineup includes established families such as Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics, showing the company’s reach from entry-level field optics to more specialized precision equipment. In riflescopes and related optics, Bushnell is also associated with proprietary features such as EXO Barrier, a lens coating developed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris.
