Vomz P2.5x24 Brevis Prism Scope

• 2.5x fixed magnification: A fixed-power prism design keeps the sight picture simple and consistent, which helps with fast target acquisition at short to medium distances and avoids the extra moving parts of a variable-power scope.
• Illuminated 7.62x39 reticle: The red illuminated reticle improves aiming contrast in dim light and against dark backgrounds, making the scope easier to use in hunting or practical shooting conditions.
• Compact prism construction: At 125.00 mm and 290.00 g, this scope adds less bulk than a larger traditional optic, helping maintain a handy rifle setup for quick handling.
• Fully multicoated optics: The lens coatings support better light transmission and contrast, which helps preserve a clearer image in overcast weather, woodland cover, and at the edges of legal shooting light.
• Sealed, nitrogen-filled housing: Waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction helps the scope stay usable in rain, temperature changes, and repeated recoil, reducing the chance of internal fogging in the field.

About the Vomz Pilad P Series

The Vomz Pilad P series is a family of fixed-magnification riflescopes built around a straightforward design philosophy: dependable aiming performance with fewer moving parts than a variable-power optic. Within the VOMZ lineup, the series serves shooters who prefer a simple sighting system for hunting and sport shooting, especially where repeatability, compactness, and ease of use matter more than changing magnification.

Models in the series have been offered in several fixed powers, including 3.5x, 4x, 8x, 10x and 12x, which shows the range’s broad role from short-distance moving-target work to more deliberate shooting at longer ranges. Lower-power versions are particularly suited to driven and walk-up hunting, where a wide, natural view and quick sight alignment are more useful than high magnification. The series has also been available with different reticle styles and with both illuminated and non-illuminated configurations, allowing shooters to choose a layout that matches their application. Overall, the Pilad P family focuses on practical optical performance, uncomplicated mechanics, and traditional riflescope handling in a fixed-power format.

About the Vomz P2.5x24 Brevis Prism Scope

The Vomz P2.5x24 Brevis Prism Scope is a compact fixed-power optic designed for rifles that benefit from a short, handy sighting system. Its 2.5x magnification gives more target definition than a non-magnified sight while still remaining fast to use at closer distances, making it well suited to practical field shooting and hunting where speed and a clear aiming reference are both important. The prism layout helps keep the body short, so the scope sits neatly on compact rifle platforms without adding unnecessary length.

This model uses an illuminated 7.62x39 reticle in the second focal plane. In practical use, that means the reticle keeps the same apparent size as the image, so the aiming pattern stays easy to see at all times. Red illumination helps the reticle stand out in poor light or against dark targets, while the fixed 100 m parallax setting keeps the optic simple and ready for general-purpose use without extra adjustment. The capped turrets protect the settings from accidental movement during transport or field carry, which suits a rifle that is expected to hold zero rather than be dialed constantly.

Fully multicoated lenses support a brighter, higher-contrast image, and the fast-focus eyepiece allows quick reticle sharpening to the shooter’s eye. The housing is waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof, with nitrogen filling to resist internal condensation. Combined with its 290.00 g weight, the result is a practical prism riflescope that balances compact dimensions, simple operation, and durability for regular outdoor use.

About Vomz

VOMZ began operations in Vologda, Russia, on October 16, 1971 and remains headquartered there. The company manufactures optoelectronic products for both special-purpose and civilian applications, with a product range that includes optical sights, prism sights, and collimator sights. For the sporting market, VOMZ is known for producing Pilad-branded rifle scopes intended for uses such as hunting and sport shooting.

The company’s background in optical and aiming equipment is directly relevant to products such as the P2.5x24 Brevis, which combines compact construction with practical field features. VOMZ also states that its scopes are tested against recoil loads of 800 g, reflecting an emphasis on mechanical durability. The company is part of the Shvabe holding within the Rostec State Corporation, placing it within a larger industrial group focused on optical and precision technologies.
