About the Model

The Vanguard VESTA GO 234CP Carbon Spotting Scope Travel Tripod is a lightweight tripod kit for users who need stable support without extra bulk. It is suited to smaller spotting scopes, mirrorless camera kits and compact DSLRs. The CNC-machined tripod has 4-section carbon fiber legs with a 23 mm widest tube diameter and carries up to 5 kg. It folds to 44.5 cm and weighs 1315 g.

The included VEO PH-24 2-way pan head has tilt control integrated into the handle. You lock or release the tilt by turning the handle, and a separate pan lock holds the horizontal position. The head offers 360° panorama rotation and a vertical tilt range from -60° to +90°. It works with the supplied Arca-Swiss compatible QS-55P quick-release plate, and an optional quick-release plate turns the setup into a 3-way configuration.

With the center column extended, the tripod reaches 154 cm. With the column down, it reaches 122.5 cm. The split center column lets you bring the head down to 22 cm for low-angle use. Three preset leg angles of 20°, 50° and 80° help you set up on uneven ground or close to the surface.

The easy-clean twist locks can be taken apart to remove dirt and sand. Two 3/8" threads with a 1/4" adapter let you mount accessories such as magic arms. A spring hook at the base of the center column holds extra weight for more stability, and rubber feet keep the tripod steady on hard surfaces.
