US Optics TS 3-12x44 FFP

• 3-12x magnification range: covers the gap between close woodland shots and longer open-country holds, giving one riflescope a useful spread for stalking, general hunting, and practical field shooting.
• First focal plane MHR reticle: the reticle stays proportional through the zoom range, so holdovers and ranging references remain consistent at any magnification instead of being tied to one power setting.
• Lockable tactical turrets: positive 0.10 MIL clicks and turret locking help prevent accidental movement while carrying the rifle, while still allowing fast corrections when distance or wind changes.
• Side parallax from 10 yds to infinity: fine parallax control helps keep the target and reticle in the same focal plane, which improves precision from short-range zeroing work to longer shots in the field.
• Compact 30 mm build: at 243.00 mm and 513.00 g, this scope keeps overall rifle weight and bulk manageable while still providing a 44 mm objective for practical low-light use.

About the US Optics TS Series

The US Optics TS series was introduced under the USO label as a more accessible alternative to the company’s boutique, high-end optics. It is aimed at shooters who want the core handling and reticle functionality associated with tactical optics, but in a format that is easier to fit into a general hunting or practical-rifle setup. Within the line, US Optics has offered both first focal plane and second focal plane configurations, giving the series a broader appeal across users who prefer hold-based shooting or a simpler sight picture.

The TS family is built around a practical design philosophy: useful magnification ranges, 30 mm tubes, straightforward controls, and reticle options tailored to different shooting styles. US Optics positions the series as an imported line that is brought into its facility for quality assurance, which helps explain its place in the lineup between premium domestic models and more budget-conscious optics. In use, the TS concept is about versatility rather than specialization, making the series well suited to hunting rifles, crossover range rifles, and shooters who want tactical-style features without moving into a heavier long-range scope format.

About the US Optics TS 3-12x44 FFP

The US Optics TS 3-12x44 FFP is a compact variable-power riflescope built for shooters who need one optic to handle mixed distances. Its 3-12x magnification range gives enough low-end field awareness for closer shots while still providing the image scale needed for more deliberate placement at longer ranges. Paired with a 44 mm objective lens, it balances light-gathering ability with a trim overall profile that does not overwhelm a lighter hunting or stalking rifle.

This model uses the MHR reticle in the first focal plane, which is especially useful for shooters who rely on holds rather than dialing every correction. Because the reticle scales with magnification, the subtensions remain true throughout the zoom range, making it easier to use the same references whether the scope is set lower for speed or higher for precision. The reticle is non-illuminated, which keeps the layout simple and avoids dependence on brightness settings in daylight field use.

Mechanically, the scope is configured with lockable tactical turrets offering 0.10 MIL clicks, 30.00 mrad of elevation travel, and 25.00 mrad of windage travel. That setup supports precise correction while reducing the chance of accidental turret movement during transport. Side parallax adjustment from 10 yds to infinity adds flexibility for everything from close-range zero confirmation to longer shots where parallax control matters more. Fully multicoated lenses, nitrogen filling, and waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof construction round out a scope designed for practical field use rather than bench-only handling.

About US Optics

U.S. Optics was founded in 1991 in Buena Park, California, and built its reputation around riflescopes and related shooting optics for demanding field use. The company serves competitive, hunting, and defense-shooting communities, with a product range that spans premium precision scopes as well as more accessible lines. U.S. Optics was also an early contributor to the development of low-power variable optics, helping establish the LPVO format that is now common on modern sporting and tactical rifles.

Over time, the company expanded beyond highly specialized custom-style optics into broader commercial offerings, including the SR, ST, MR, LR, and ER lines. After acquisition by DRSG, U.S. Optics moved to Kalispell, Montana, in 2017, then joined ZRO Delta and moved to North Carolina in 2019. Its engineering team is based in Connelly Springs, North Carolina, and the brand remains closely associated with riflescope design focused on practical durability, repeatable adjustments, and reticle systems for real shooting applications.
