Trijicon ACOG & VCOG Mount

• Trijicon Q-LOC Technology: the quick-release system lets the mount go on or off a Picatinny rail without tools, which speeds up optic changes and simplifies transport, maintenance, or swapping between rifles.
• ACOG and VCOG compatibility: built for both optic families, this mount gives users one mounting solution for proven fixed-power and variable-power Trijicon combat optics.
• 1.535 inch (39mm) height above rail: this mounting height supports a practical head position on AR-style rifles and similar platforms, helping the shooter settle behind the optic quickly.
• 6061-T6 aluminum construction: the aluminum body keeps weight under control while providing the rigidity needed for hard field use and repeated mounting cycles.
• Mil-Spec drop test rated design: the mount is built for demanding service conditions, giving added confidence when the rifle is carried, handled, and used in rough environments.

About the Trijicon Mounts Series

Trijicon Mounts sit within the company’s broader Mounts & Accessories range and are built to support the same practical, duty-oriented use as Trijicon optics. The series covers different mounting needs across rifle optics, red-dot sights, and scope tubes, with versions for Picatinny rails, Weaver rails, and selected firearm-specific interfaces. That gives the line a clear role in the Trijicon catalog: not as generic hardware, but as purpose-built mounting solutions matched to specific optics and shooting setups.

A defining characteristic of the series is its variety of configurations. Trijicon offers mounts in low, full co-witness, and lower one-third co-witness heights, alongside quick-release models that use Trijicon Q-LOC technology. In practice, that means the series serves very different applications, from compact red-dot installations to larger riflescope setups on service rifles and precision carbines. Across the range, the design emphasis stays consistent: secure attachment, repeatable positioning, and straightforward handling for users who need their optic and mount to work as a single dependable system.

About the Trijicon ACOG & VCOG Mount

The Trijicon ACOG & VCOG Mount is a fixed mount designed for shooters who want a direct, robust interface between a Trijicon ACOG or VCOG and a Picatinny rail. Its role is simple but important: it provides the correct platform for two of Trijicon’s best-known riflescope families while keeping installation fast and uncomplicated. That makes it well suited to rifles used for service-style shooting, practical field use, and general-purpose tactical optics setups where reliability matters more than unnecessary complexity.

The key feature is Trijicon Q-LOC Technology, which gives the mount a one-handed, tool-free quick-release system. In practical use, that helps when an optic needs to be removed for transport, replaced with another sighting system, or moved between compatible rifles. The stated 1.535 inch (39mm) height above rail places the optic at a useful level for many modern rifle platforms, especially those with straight-line stock geometry, helping the shooter achieve a more natural cheek position and faster sight alignment.

Construction also matters here. The mount uses a 6061-T6 aluminum body and a Mil-Spec drop test rated design, so it is intended to handle repeated use rather than occasional range mounting. The black finish keeps the appearance subdued and consistent with duty or hunting rifle setups. For users running an ACOG or VCOG, this mount focuses on the essentials: secure fit, practical mounting height, and fast handling without adding unnecessary bulk.

About Trijicon

Trijicon was founded in 1981 by Glyn Bindon and is based in Wixom, Michigan, United States. The company develops aiming systems for military, law enforcement, hunting, and shooting use, with product lines that include riflescopes, red dot sights, electro-optics, and iron sights. Its background in combat-oriented and field-ready optics is especially relevant in categories such as riflescopes and mounts, where durability and repeatable performance are central requirements.

Trijicon is closely associated with several well-known illumination systems, including tritium, fiber optics, and LED technology. The company introduced the ACOG in 1987, a product family that became widely established in military use, and later introduced the RMR in 2009, extending its reputation into miniature reflex sights. That long focus on aiming systems helps explain why Trijicon mounts are designed as dedicated companions to its optics rather than as generic accessories.
