Tipton Best Gun Vise Gen 2

• Steel-reinforced clamps: The vise holds rifles and pistols more securely during cleaning, maintenance, and light setup work, reducing movement that can slow down careful tasks.
• Non-marring rubber over-molding: Contact points protect stock finishes and barrel coatings, so the firearm stays supported without marking the surfaces being worked on.
• Adjustable aluminum rail system: Sliding support arms make it easier to fit different firearm lengths and shapes, which adds flexibility for mixed collections and varied bench jobs.
• VISE MOD compatibility: Two integrated accessory docks keep tools and small parts close at hand, helping create a more organized maintenance station.
• Rubberized feet and fast-turn knobs: The stable base resists slipping on the bench, while quick adjustments save time when changing between firearms or repositioning supports.

About the Best Gun Vise Series

The Tipton Best Gun Vise series sits among the brand’s more advanced firearm maintenance supports, built for shooters who want a stable bench platform for cleaning, routine maintenance, and light gunsmithing work. Within Tipton’s gun-care lineup, these vises are designed to handle a wider range of firearm shapes than simpler one-piece supports, making them a practical choice for owners of rifles, shotguns, and handguns.

A defining trait of the series is its highly adjustable layout. Rather than relying on fixed supports, the Best Gun Vise concept uses movable contact points and clamping elements so the setup can be tailored to the firearm in front of it. That matters when working with different stock profiles, barrel lengths, or action types. The series also emphasizes non-marring contact surfaces and solvent-resistant construction, which are important in a maintenance environment where finishes, oils, and cleaning chemicals are part of regular use. In practice, the Best Gun Vise family is aimed at users who want more control, better access, and a steadier working position than a basic cradle can provide.

About the Tipton Best Gun Vise Gen 2

The Tipton Best Gun Vise Gen 2 is built as a versatile bench support for pistols and rifles, with a layout that makes firearm maintenance more controlled and less awkward. Its central aluminum rail allows the support arms to slide freely, so the vise can be adapted to different firearm lengths and configurations without forcing the user into a fixed setup. That flexibility is useful when moving between compact handguns and longer shoulder-fired platforms on the same workbench.

This Gen 2 model stands out for its two heavy-duty, steel-reinforced clamps, which provide a more secure hold while still protecting the firearm through non-marring rubber over-molding. The practical benefit is simple: the gun stays steadier during cleaning or adjustment, while stock finishes and barrel coatings are less likely to be marked by repeated contact. Fast-turn knobs also make repositioning quicker, which helps when changing support points for different tasks.

The design is equally focused on bench usability. Rubberized feet help keep the vise planted on the work surface, reducing unwanted movement during detailed work. Tipton also integrates two VISE MOD accessory docks, and the package includes the VISE MOD Tool Holder and Parts Tray. That turns the vise into more than a simple support, giving it the function of a compact maintenance station where tools and small components stay close by instead of scattered across the bench.

About Tipton

Tipton is a firearm cleaning and maintenance brand owned by American Outdoor Brands. The brand focuses on practical workshop equipment such as cleaning tools, gun vises, and maintenance supplies, with a product range built around the routine care of rifles and handguns. Alongside larger bench accessories, Tipton also offers barrel-cleaning components including jags and bore brushes, as well as pull-through systems such as Nope Ropes in calibers from 9mm to .308.

The brand’s catalog shows a clear emphasis on maintenance-specific design. Examples include Ultra Jags with a solvent-resistant coating intended to avoid false copper-fouling indications from aggressive bore solvents, and Power Swabs with flexible bamboo handles for detailed cleaning work. That focus on firearm care tools makes Tipton a specialist brand for shooters who want dedicated equipment for cleaning, inspection, and bench maintenance rather than general-purpose workshop accessories.
