TacStar Collapsible Stock for AR

• Collapsible AR design: The adjustable stock format lets the rifle be set up for different shooting positions, clothing layers, and storage needs, making the carbine easier to handle in both range and field use.
• Glass-reinforced polymer construction: The polymer body is built for hard use while keeping weight down, so the rifle gains durability without becoming unnecessarily heavy.
• Protected adjustment lever: The distinctive A-frame profile helps shield the length-adjustment lever from bumps and snags, which is useful on working rifles that are carried in vehicles or through tight spaces.
• Multiple sling attachment options: QD sling ports on both sides plus a sling slot make it easier to configure the rifle for left- or right-handed carry and adapt it to different sling setups.
• Removable rubber butt pad: The butt pad adds a more secure shoulder contact and helps reduce slipping during rapid handling, while also softening felt recoil.

About the TacStar Accessories Series

TacStar Accessories sit within the wider Lyman brand portfolio and are aimed at shooters who want practical upgrades for working firearms rather than purely cosmetic add-ons. Since TacStar joined Lyman in 1997, the line has focused on tactical and utility-oriented accessories for hunters, law-enforcement users, and military professionals. That background gives the series a clear identity: straightforward parts designed to improve handling, carry options, and day-to-day usability.

The range covers a broad mix of shotgun and rifle accessories, including shell carriers, grips, rails, slings, and brass catchers. One of the best-known TacStar designs is the patented SideSaddle, which helped establish the brand’s reputation for practical firearm-mounted accessories. Across the series, the design approach is consistent: durable materials, simple installation, and features that support real use on defensive, sporting, and field rifles and shotguns. For shooters looking at stocks, mounts, or other rifle parts, the TacStar Accessories family is positioned as a functional upgrade path with an emphasis on rugged construction and sensible ergonomics.

About the TacStar Collapsible Stock for AR

The TacStar Collapsible Stock for AR is a replacement stock for AR carbines that focuses on practical handling improvements rather than unnecessary complexity. Its collapsible format makes it easier to tailor rifle length to the shooter, the shooting position, or the amount of gear being worn. That matters on a carbine used across different roles, where a fixed stock can feel too long in body armor, heavy outerwear, or confined spaces.

The stock body is made from glass-reinforced polymer, giving it the stiffness needed for regular use while keeping overall weight under control. TacStar also uses a distinctive A-frame shape that helps protect the adjustment lever from accidental impact. In practice, that means the stock is less likely to be knocked out of position when the rifle is moved in and out of racks, cases, or vehicles.

Carry setup is another strong point. QD sling attachment ports on both sides and an additional sling slot give the user more freedom to configure the rifle for two-point or single-point carry, and to set it up for either shoulder. The included removable rubber butt pad improves shoulder purchase and helps reduce slipping during fast mounting. TacStar also designed the stock for a precise fit to mil-spec buffer tubes, which supports smooth length adjustment and a more secure feel during use.

About TacStar

TacStar is a firearm-accessory brand within the Lyman family and has been part of that group since 1997, when it joined Lyman to broaden the company’s presence in tactical and law-enforcement markets. The brand is known for practical accessories rather than complete firearms, with product lines that include grips, magazine extensions, weapon-light systems, slings, rail mounts, and brass catchers.

A notable TacStar design is the patented SideSaddle shotgun shell carrier, a product that helped establish the brand’s reputation among professional and defensive users. TacStar accessories are intended for hunters, military personnel, and law-enforcement professionals, which explains the emphasis on straightforward function, durable materials, and easy integration with common firearm platforms. Within the rifle and shotgun accessory category, TacStar is best understood as a specialist brand focused on useful handling and carry upgrades.
