Steyr Arms Pivot Mount without Base Gen 2, 25.4 mm

• Original STEYR pivot interface: This Gen 2 upper mount is made to work with Steyr Original Pivot Scope Mounts, giving a secure detachable setup that can be removed and reattached without changing the basic mounting system.
• 25.4 mm ring size: Built for 1 inch scope tubes, it matches many classic hunting riflescopes and keeps the optic properly supported without relying on adapters.
• Detachable pivot design: A pivot mount lets the scope swing into position and lock onto the rifle’s base, which is practical for shooters who want fast optic removal for transport, maintenance, or switching setups.
• 0 MOA alignment: The 0 MOA configuration keeps the scope level with the rifle’s mounting line, making it a straightforward choice for general hunting and everyday sighting distances.
• Austrian factory accessory: As an STEYR ARMS mount made in Austria, it follows the brand’s original-fit approach and suits owners who prefer factory-matched mounting components for their rifle and optic.

About the Steyr Arms Mounts Series

Steyr Arms Mounts are built as dedicated rifle accessories for fitting optical sights to compatible STEYR platforms. Within the company’s accessory range, the series focuses on practical mounting solutions rather than universal one-size-fits-all hardware, which is important for shooters who want a mount that matches the geometry and intended use of their rifle. The family includes solutions for conventional scope rings as well as rail-based and interchangeable systems, reflecting STEYR’s broader approach to hunting and sporting rifles.

A defining characteristic of the series is its emphasis on platform compatibility and modularity. STEYR has also used interchangeable upper parts in its mounting concept, including versions for 30 mm rings and rail-equipped optics such as Zeiss or Swarovski patterns. In practice, that means the series is aimed at shooters who may want to tailor the rifle to a preferred optic format without abandoning the original mounting architecture. Across the range, the design philosophy is straightforward: keep the interface secure, keep the optic correctly positioned, and support repeatable installation on rifles intended for field use.

About the Steyr Arms Pivot Mount without Base Gen 2, 25.4 mm

The Steyr Arms Pivot Mount without Base Gen 2, 25.4 mm is the upper portion of a detachable scope-mounting system for shooters using a 1 inch riflescope tube with Steyr Original Pivot Scope Mounts. Its role is simple but important: it provides the ring interface for the optic while relying on the original STEYR pivot base system already fitted to the rifle. That makes it especially relevant for owners who already have the lower base in place and want a correct upper assembly for a traditional 25.4 mm scope.

The Gen 2 pivot format is well suited to practical hunting use because it combines a firm mechanical attachment with the convenience of a detachable mount. A pivot system allows the scope to be mounted and removed in a controlled way, which can be useful when transporting the rifle, servicing the optic, or maintaining access to the rifle’s original configuration. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the setup neutral, which suits general-purpose zeroing and typical field distances rather than specialized long-range cant compensation.

With its black finish and KR 0.0 mm extension, this mount stays close to a clean, factory-style installation. For the user, that means a straightforward optic position without added forward offset, helping preserve the handling characteristics of the rifle while supporting a compact, original-equipment look.

About Steyr Arms

Steyr Arms was founded by Josef and Franz Werndl on April 16, 1864, in Oberletten, Austria. The company is based in Kleinraming, Austria, where its headquarters, research and development, and production are located. STEYR ARMS builds hunting, sporting, and precision rifles, along with pistols and firearms for police and military use, which gives the brand a broad engineering background across both field and professional applications.

The company is closely associated with several notable firearm designs, including the STEYR AUG, adopted by the Austrian Federal Army in 1977 as the StG 77, and the SSG 69, introduced in the late 1960s as a precision rifle with a compound stock. The business adopted the name STEYR ARMS on January 1, 2019, continuing a long Austrian manufacturing tradition while supporting its rifles with matching accessories such as original mounts and optic interfaces.
