Safariland 6354 ALS Holster for H&K VP9 with Torch X300U STXTAC

• ALS retention system: The Automatic Locking System secures the pistol as soon as it is holstered, giving a high level of retention without adding a strap that slows the draw.
• Open-top tactical draw: The open-top layout keeps access fast and direct, which helps when a clean, straight-up presentation matters more than extra manipulation.
• Thigh-mounted stability: The leg harness format keeps the holster clear of body armor and chest rigs while providing a stable platform for duty or field use.
• Durable hard-shell construction: The polymer body is built for repeated use and helps the holster keep its shape for consistent reholstering in demanding conditions.
• Light-compatible fit: This version is configured for the H&K VP9 with Torch X300U STXTAC, allowing secure carry of a pistol and weapon light combination without giving up retention.

About the 6354 Series

The Safariland 6354 Series sits in the company’s tactical holster range and is built for users who need a secure sidearm platform that still allows a fast, uncomplicated draw. It is centered on the ALS retention system, which locks the pistol in place internally and releases with a natural thumb movement during the draw stroke. That design has made the series a common choice for professional users who want active retention without the bulk and extra steps of older strap-based systems.

Across the series, the emphasis is on tactical carry, stable mounting and reliable access under movement. The thigh-mounted format helps clear body armor, load-bearing equipment and outer garments, while the hard-shell construction is intended to hold its shape through repeated training and field use. Many 6354 variants are also designed around duty pistols with mounted lights or other service-style configurations, which makes the series relevant for law enforcement, military use, range training and practical shooting setups where retention, speed and equipment compatibility all matter.

About the Safariland 6354 ALS Holster for H&K VP9 with Torch X300U STXTAC

This Safariland 6354 ALS Holster is tailored to the H&K VP9 with Torch X300U STXTAC, making it a purpose-built option for users running a full-size service pistol with a mounted light. That dedicated fit matters in practice because it supports consistent retention and a predictable draw path, rather than forcing a compromise between weapon security and accessory clearance. For duty, training or field carry, the combination of a molded body and ALS lock keeps the pistol controlled during movement while still allowing a fast presentation when needed.

The defining feature is the ALS mechanism. Once the pistol is holstered, the system locks it in place automatically, so there is no separate strap or snap to manage. On the draw, the release is handled with the thumb as part of a natural firing grip, which helps maintain speed while preserving retention. In practical use, that makes the holster well suited to users who need more security than a simple friction holster but do not want a complicated release sequence.

Its thigh-carry configuration is equally important. By dropping the pistol lower on the leg, the holster stays accessible when body armor, chest rigs or heavy outer layers would interfere with a belt-mounted setup. The polymer construction adds durability and keeps the holster rigid for easier one-handed reholstering, which is valuable in training environments and professional use where repeatable handling matters.

About Safariland

Safariland was established in 1964 by Neale Perkins, who began the business in Sierra Madre, California. Over time, the company developed from a specialist holster maker into a broader equipment manufacturer serving professional and civilian users. Today, The Safariland Group is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida and its product range includes holsters, armor, accessories and communications equipment.

The brand is especially well known in the holster category for retention-focused designs used by law enforcement, military, fire and rescue, competitive shooting and everyday users. One of its most recognized technologies is the ALS system, which uses an internal lock and thumb release to secure the firearm while keeping the draw efficient. That focus on retention, durability and duty-oriented design is central to products such as the 6354 tactical holster.
