Rusan Pivot Mount for Howa 1500, SR Rail

• Pivot quick-release design: The mount lets the optic be removed and reattached quickly, which is useful when switching between sighting setups or transporting the rifle while keeping return-to-position handling simple and repeatable.
• Steel construction: A steel body gives the mount the rigidity needed for secure scope support and long service life, especially on hunting rifles that see regular field use and repeated recoil cycles.
• Swarovski SR rail interface: The SR rail format provides a clean, ringless connection for compatible scopes, helping maintain alignment while simplifying installation on premium rail-equipped optics.
• Rifle-specific fit for Howa 1500: Built for the Howa 1500 action family, this pivot mount is shaped around the rifle platform for a more integrated fit than generic mounting solutions.
• Complete pivot-mount system: As part of Rusan’s complete pivot-mount concept, it combines the practical handling of a detachable mount with the stable base arrangement expected for everyday hunting use.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are built as a dedicated family of firearm optics mounts for shooters who want a detachable system without moving away from a traditional steel hunting-mount layout. Within the Rusan lineup, the series covers several rifle interfaces and optic standards, including versions for 11 mm prisms and Picatinny rails, alongside complete mounts configured for different scope tube diameters and rail types. That broad fitment makes the series relevant to both classic sporting rifles and more modern bolt-action platforms.

A defining characteristic of the range is its steel construction and quick-release fixation, which suit users who need secure optic attachment with the convenience of fast removal. The series includes both complete mounts with bases and pivot mounts supplied without bases, so the system can be matched to different rifles and existing setups. In practice, Rusan positions these mounts for hunters and rifle owners who value a low-profile, rifle-specific mounting solution that supports dependable alignment, straightforward handling, and compatibility across a wide spread of European and international rifle models.

About the Rusan Pivot Mount for Howa 1500, SR Rail

The Rusan Pivot Mount for Howa 1500, SR Rail is a rifle-specific mounting solution made for shooters using a Howa 1500 with a scope built around the Swarovski SR rail standard. That combination makes it especially relevant for hunting rifles where a clean, low-clutter optic installation matters as much as secure attachment. Because the mount is designed around the SR rail interface rather than conventional rings, it supports a tidy connection to compatible scopes and avoids the extra bulk of separate ring halves.

Its place in the pivot-mount category is important in practical use. A quick-release pivot system allows the optic to be detached when needed for transport, maintenance, or a change of sighting setup, then reinstalled with the handling characteristics expected from a dedicated mount. For hunters who move between different conditions or prefer the flexibility of a removable scope, that is a meaningful advantage over fixed mounts.

The use of steel also shapes how this mount performs in the field. Steel brings the stiffness and wear resistance expected from a traditional hunting mount, helping the assembly stay stable under recoil and repeated use. Combined with its rifle-specific geometry for the Howa 1500 platform, the result is a mount that prioritizes secure fit, straightforward operation, and compatibility with premium SR-rail optics rather than unnecessary complexity.

About Rusan

Rusan is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, with roots in the Rusan family’s metalworking business that date to 1983. The company expanded from gunsmithing into dedicated production, with Željko Rusan opening a gunsmith shop in 1986 and the business beginning scope-mount production in 1993. That background is reflected in a product range centered on practical firearm-interface components rather than general outdoor equipment.

Today, Rusan is known for manufacturing scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails, and firearm tuning products, along with adapter systems for clip-on night-vision and thermal devices. The company introduced its clip-on sight adapter clamp in 2009, a product type that became closely associated with the brand. Across its catalog, Rusan focuses on precise metal construction and model-specific fit, which makes the brand well established among shooters looking for mounting solutions and optic adapters for hunting and sporting rifles.
