Recknagel One-piece tip-off mount for Picatinny, 40mm, lever

• One-piece construction: The mount is machined as a single unit, which helps keep both rings aligned and supports consistent scope positioning under recoil and repeated use.
• Polyform lever tip-off system: The adjustable lever design allows fast removal and reinstallation without tools, making it practical for transport, cleaning, or swapping optics while maintaining a secure lock on the rail.
• Low-profile 40 mm ring layout: Its very low build keeps the optic close to the bore, which can support a more natural shooting position and a cleaner cheek weld.
• High-grade aluminum body: The aluminum construction reduces unnecessary weight while still providing the rigidity expected from a hunting or sporting rifle mount.
• Black hard-anodized finish: The surface treatment improves resistance to wear and handling marks, helping the mount stand up to regular field use.

About the Recknagel Slide-Off Rings Series

Recknagel Slide-Off Rings are part of the company’s current scope-mount range and are built around a simple idea: give shooters a secure detachable mounting solution for a wide variety of rifles and optic interfaces. The series includes slide-off and tip-off mounts across several attachment standards, including 11 mm and 16 mm dovetails, as well as versions for rail-based optics such as Zeiss and Swarovski SR. That breadth makes the family relevant to both classic sporting rifles and more modern platforms.

Within the Recknagel lineup, this series sits as a practical choice for users who want a mount that can be removed when needed without moving to a bulky tactical design. The emphasis is on precise fit, compact form, and repeatable handling, with model variants tailored to specific rifle interfaces and scope tube diameters. In use, the series suits hunting rifles, sporting rifles, and other setups where low mounting height, clean handling, and dependable attachment matter more than extra complexity. The result is a family of mounts that focuses on straightforward mechanical function and broad compatibility rather than unnecessary features.

About the Recknagel One-piece tip-off mount for Picatinny, 40mm, lever

The Recknagel One-piece tip-off mount for Picatinny, 40mm, lever is designed for shooters who want the convenience of a detachable mount without giving up a compact, stable setup. Built for 40 mm scope tubes and a Picatinny interface, it suits modern rifle platforms that need a secure optic connection with the option of quick removal. That makes it well suited to rifles used for hunting, range work, or transport-sensitive setups where the optic may need to come off and go back on efficiently.

The mount uses a one-piece body, which helps maintain ring alignment and overall rigidity compared with separate ring-and-base combinations. In practice, that supports more straightforward installation and a solid platform for larger 40 mm tube optics. The Polyform lever system adds speed and convenience: the levers are adjustable and can be positioned parallel in the desired end position, so the mount can be locked down securely while still sitting neatly against the rifle. This is especially useful when clearance, handling, or snag resistance matters.

Its high-grade aluminum construction keeps weight under control while still delivering the structural strength expected from a quality riflescope mount. The black hard-anodized finish adds surface durability for regular field handling. With 0 MOA inclination and KR 0.0 mm extension, this model is aimed at shooters who want a straightforward, centered mounting solution rather than a specialized long-range cantilever or inclined base.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer focused on firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights, and hunting accessories. The company’s history began in 1867, when Adolf Recknagel started manufacturing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl in Thuringia. Over time, the brand expanded from traditional sight-making into a broad range of technical components for sporting and hunting firearms.

Today, Recknagel’s product range includes scope mounts, Picatinny rails, firearm sights, triggers, safeties, and hunting silencers, reflecting a strong specialization in the mechanical interface between rifle and optic. The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006, introduced the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories in 2010, and added lightweight hunting silencers in 2016. In 2022, Dr. Moritz Fehrer acquired the company. For products such as detachable scope mounts, Recknagel is known for precise engineering and a catalog that covers both classic hunting rifles and modern rail-equipped platforms.
