Recknagel Picatinny Aluminium rail

• Picatinny interface: Provides a widely used mounting standard for riflescopes, red dot sights and other compatible optics, making it easier to configure a rifle around different hunting or sporting roles.
• Aluminium construction: Keeps the rail light while still offering the rigidity needed for a stable optic platform, helping preserve practical handling on the rifle.
• Low 4.00 mm profile: Sits close to the receiver to support a compact mounting setup, which can help maintain a natural cheek weld and a cleaner overall rifle profile.
• 204.00 mm length: Gives generous mounting space for positioning optics and rings, useful when eye relief or ring spacing needs to be tuned to a specific scope.
• Made in Germany: Reflects Recknagel’s focus on precise machining for mounting components, which matters when repeatable fit and secure attachment are priorities.

About the Recknagel Picatinny rails Series

Recknagel Picatinny rails are designed as practical mounting bases for hunters and sporting shooters who want a secure, standardized interface between rifle and optic. Within the Recknagel lineup, these rails sit as a versatile solution for rifles that benefit from the flexibility of the Picatinny pattern, whether the goal is to mount a conventional riflescope, a red dot sight or another compatible aiming device. The series focuses on straightforward function: a stable platform, consistent dimensions and compatibility with the broad ecosystem of Picatinny-compatible rings and mounts.

In use, the series is defined by a low-profile mechanical layout and by materials chosen to balance strength with manageable weight. That makes these rails well suited to hunting rifles where added bulk is undesirable, but also to general sporting applications where easy optic changes and repeatable positioning matter. Rather than relying on unnecessary complexity, the series emphasizes clean integration with the rifle receiver and a mounting format that remains easy to work with when changing optics, adjusting eye relief or setting up a rifle for different tasks.

About the Recknagel Picatinny Aluminium rail

The Recknagel Picatinny Aluminium rail is built for shooters who need a simple, stable base for mounting optics on a rifle with a Picatinny-compatible setup. Its main advantage is flexibility: once the rail is installed, it opens the rifle to a wide range of compatible riflescope rings, one-piece mounts and red dot solutions. That is especially useful on rifles that may serve more than one role, such as a hunting rifle that alternates between a low-magnification optic and a higher-magnification riflescope.

The use of aluminium keeps weight under control, which is important on field rifles that are carried for long periods. At the same time, the rail’s 204.00 mm length gives ample room to position an optic correctly, helping with eye relief and ring spacing when fitting different scope bodies. The 4.00 mm BH height supports a relatively low mounting position, which can improve rifle handling and help the optic sit closer to the bore line.

As a mounting component, this model is less about added features and more about doing the fundamentals well: maintaining alignment, providing enough mounting latitude and creating a reliable interface between rifle and sight. For hunting optics or general sporting use, that translates into a cleaner installation and fewer compromises when selecting or positioning an optic.

About Recknagel

Adolf Recknagel began manufacturing firearm sights in 1867 in Albrechts, near Suhl, Thuringia. From those origins, Recknagel developed into a German specialist in firearm and riflescope mounting systems, sights and hunting accessories. Its product range covers scope mounts, Picatinny rails, firearm sights, triggers, safeties and hunting silencers, showing a long-standing focus on the mechanical interface between rifle and shooter.

Within the modern market, Recknagel is especially well known for precise mounting solutions for hunting and sporting firearms. The company also expanded into the tactical segment with the ERATAC line in 2010, adding another layer to its expertise in robust optic mounting systems. This background is directly relevant to a product such as a Picatinny rail, where machining quality, dimensional consistency and practical firearm integration matter more than unnecessary complexity.
