Recknagel Convex Barrel Band Sling Swivel with 2 Holes, EURO Loop

• Convex barrel-band fit: The curved contact surface is made for matching convex barrel bands, helping the swivel sit correctly and distribute load more evenly when a sling is attached.
• Two-hole attachment design: The two-hole layout supports secure installation on the barrel band, which is important for a stable sling connection on hunting rifles carried over long distances.
• EURO loop configuration: The EURO loop format suits rifles and sling setups built around this common European interface, making it a practical choice for traditional hunting gun builds.
• Steel construction: Steel gives this sling swivel the rigidity and wear resistance needed for repeated field use, especially on rifles that are carried often and exposed to rough handling.
• Made for classic hunting-rifle hardware: As part of Recknagel’s hunting accessories range, this component is aimed at clean, functional integration with established rifle hardware rather than bulky add-on solutions.

About the Recknagel Accesories Series

Recknagel Accesories brings together the company’s long-established range of parts and fittings for hunting firearms, alongside workshop-oriented components used by gunsmiths. Within the broader Recknagel lineup, this series sits beside the brand’s scope mounts and rails, focusing instead on the smaller but essential hardware that shapes how a rifle is carried, handled, and finished in practical use. The series covers hunting accessories and spare parts rather than optics themselves, making it particularly relevant for traditional rifle builds, refurbishments, and detail upgrades.

A defining trait of the series is its emphasis on functional compatibility with hunting firearms. The range includes accessories intended for both hunters and gunsmiths, with designs that support clean installation and dependable everyday use. Recknagel’s catalogs separate mounts from sights and hunting-weapon accessories, which reflects a clear design philosophy: each component is built for a specific mechanical task, whether that is attaching optics, refining handling, or completing a rifle with durable hardware. In that context, the accessories series serves users who value well-machined, purpose-built parts for classic sporting rifles and practical field carry.

About the Recknagel Convex Barrel Band Sling Swivel with 2 Holes, EURO Loop

The Recknagel Convex Barrel Band Sling Swivel with 2 Holes, EURO Loop is a specialized sling-mounting component for rifles that use a barrel-band attachment point rather than a conventional stock stud alone. Its defining feature is the convex barrel-band profile, which is shaped to match the corresponding curved surface on the band. That matters in practice because a correctly matched contact surface helps the part seat properly, reduces unwanted movement, and supports a more secure sling connection when the rifle is carried in the field.

The two-hole mounting pattern is equally important. It is intended for barrel bands designed to accept this style of attachment, giving the swivel a fixed and mechanically stable interface. On a hunting rifle, that stability helps keep the sling aligned and reduces the chance of twisting or shifting under load while walking, stalking, or moving the rifle on and off the shoulder. The EURO loop format makes this version especially suitable for rifles and slings built around European hunting hardware, where compact, traditional fittings are often preferred over larger tactical-style attachments.

Because this is a steel sling swivel, it is aimed at durability rather than minimum weight. Steel is well suited to a part that sees repeated tension, movement, and contact with other hardware. For classic hunting rifles, combination guns, or custom builds that use barrel-band sling mounting, this Recknagel accessory offers a practical way to maintain a tidy profile while preserving a secure carry point.

About Recknagel

Recknagel is a German manufacturer of firearm mounting systems, sights, and hunting accessories, with roots going back to 1867, when Adolf Recknagel began producing firearm sights in Albrechts near Suhl in Thuringia. Over time, the company expanded from sights into a broader range of technical firearm components, including scope mounts, Picatinny rails, triggers, safeties, and hunting accessories. This background is directly relevant to products like sling swivels, where precise fit and dependable mechanical function matter as much as they do in optic mounting.

The company relocated from Schweinfurt to Bergrheinfeld in 2006 and later broadened its portfolio with the ERATAC line of tactical mounts and accessories in 2010. Recknagel added lightweight hunting silencers in 2016, further reinforcing its focus on practical firearm equipment for field and sporting use. With this mix of traditional gunmaking heritage and modern manufacturing, Recknagel has built a reputation for producing well-defined components for hunters, sporting users, and gunsmiths.
