Nightspotter Sirius Night Vision Monocular

• 1x observation format: The true 1.00 x magnification keeps depth perception and spatial awareness natural, which makes the monocular easier to use for scanning, moving and short-range observation in darkness.
• Wide 40° field of view: A broad 40.00 ° viewing angle helps cover more ground with each sweep, making it practical for woodland edges, feeder areas and general night-time situational awareness.
• Gen. 2+ image intensifier: The Gen. 2+ tube with 54.00 Lp/mm resolution is aimed at users who want a clearer analogue night-vision image with better detail recognition than entry-level systems.
• Compact, field-ready housing: At 157.00 mm long and 460.00 g, the Sirius remains easy to carry in a pocket or pouch, so it suits mobile use where larger night-vision devices become cumbersome.
• Long AA battery runtime: A stated 60.00 h battery life on AA power supports extended outings and simplifies battery replacement in the field without relying on specialist cells.

About the Nightspotter Sirius Series

The Nightspotter Sirius series sits in the brand’s analogue night-vision line as a compact monocular platform built for observation rather than weapon-mounted use. Its design centers on the practical strengths that many hunters and night-time observers still value in analogue devices: instant viewing with no digital display lag, a natural image presentation, and a light, easy-to-carry format for scanning terrain after dark. In this role, the Sirius series is aimed at users who need a simple handheld unit for field edges, woodland routes, pest-control observation and general nocturnal surveillance.

Across the series, the emphasis is on 1x viewing, broad situational awareness and straightforward operation rather than high magnification. That makes the platform especially suitable for users who want to move, observe and reorient quickly in darkness. The Sirius concept also favors a compact body, weather-resistant construction and long battery endurance, all of which matter when a monocular is carried for long periods and used intermittently through the night. In practical terms, the series is built around mobility, wide-area scanning and uncomplicated analogue night vision, making it a sensible fit for hunting optics users who prioritize speed and simplicity over a larger, more specialized device.

About the Nightspotter Sirius Night Vision Monocular

The Nightspotter Sirius Night Vision Monocular is configured as a compact analogue observation device with 1.00 x magnification and a 24.00 mm objective. That combination is important because it keeps the viewing experience natural: distances are easier to judge, movement feels more intuitive, and the monocular can be brought to the eye quickly for short checks without the disorientation that stronger magnification can introduce. For users moving between cover, checking tracks or scanning a field margin, that makes the Sirius easier to integrate into real field use.

Its Gen. 2+ image intensifier and 54.00 Lp/mm maximum resolution are intended to deliver a more detailed analogue image, helping the user separate animals, terrain features and obstacles more clearly. The stated 450 μA/lm photosensitivity of the selected tube also points to a system designed to make effective use of available ambient light. With a 40.00 ° field of view, the monocular favors coverage over magnified detail, which is exactly what many handheld night-vision users need when scanning larger areas or maintaining awareness of movement across the scene.

The housing remains practical for extended carry at 460.00 g, while the compact dimensions of 157.00 mm in length help it fit easily into a hunting kit. Waterproof and fogproof construction support use in damp and changeable weather, and the Auto Turn-Off function adds a layer of operational security when the device is handled under field conditions. Power comes from a common AA battery, and the stated 60.00 h runtime is especially useful for users who want long service intervals and easy battery sourcing during travel or multi-night use.

About Nightspotter

Nightspotter is operated by Nightspotter GmbH & Co. KG. The company has distributed optics, with a particular focus on night-vision technology for hunting since 2001, giving the brand a clear specialization in low-light and after-dark observation equipment. Based in Brakel, Germany, Nightspotter has built its range around practical hunting and field-use applications rather than a broad general-optics catalog.

The product line includes night-vision monoculars and binoculars, along with night-vision clip-on devices for use with daytime optics. The range also extends to thermal imaging devices, which places the brand firmly in the segment of hunting optics focused on observation and target identification in poor light. This background is relevant to the Sirius monocular because it comes from a manufacturer whose core business has long centered on dedicated night-use optical equipment.
