Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P94 & P97

• Self-illuminated tritium dots: The three-dot sight picture stays visible in low light and at night without batteries, so the pistol remains ready for defensive use at any hour.
• Fixed steel sight set: A solid steel construction and fixed configuration keep the sights durable and consistent under regular carry, training, and recoil.
• Three-dot alignment: Matching front and rear dots give a familiar reference that helps the eye pick up the sights quickly for faster alignment at practical handgun distances.
• Square rear sight: The square rear notch supports a clear front-sight focus and a clean sight picture, which helps with controlled, repeatable aiming.
• Ruger P94 and P97 fit: This Tru-Dot set is made for these compatible Ruger pistols as a direct replacement for the factory sights, making it a practical upgrade for low-light carry or range use.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot Series

Meprolight Tru-Dot is the company’s established family of self-illuminated handgun night sights, built for shooters who want a simple sight picture that works in both daylight and reduced light. In Meprolight’s current handgun catalog, the series includes fixed, adjustable, and suppressor-height sights, which places Tru-Dot as a broad platform rather than a single configuration. Across the range, the core idea remains the same: a three-dot aiming system designed to look familiar and remain usable as lighting conditions change.

The series is centered on tritium illumination, which provides a visible aiming reference in low-light and nighttime conditions without batteries. That makes Tru-Dot sights well suited to defensive pistols, service handguns, and general range use where a pistol may need to be brought into action without switches or brightness settings. The family also spans models for handguns from multiple manufacturers, and selected versions are offered with different tritium dot color combinations. As a whole, the Tru-Dot line is defined by straightforward operation, direct replacement fitment, and a sight picture that prioritizes fast alignment over unnecessary complexity.

About the Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P94 & P97

The Meprolight Tru-Dot for Ruger P94 & P97 is a dedicated tritium night sight set for shooters who want a more usable iron-sight system in dim light without changing the handling of the pistol. Its biggest advantage is the self-illuminated three-dot layout: the green tritium dots remain visible in darkness, while the familiar arrangement keeps the presentation intuitive in normal daylight. For a defensive or duty-style handgun, that means there is no need to manage batteries, activate electronics, or adapt to a different aiming concept.

This model uses a fixed sight design, which suits pistols intended for dependable everyday use rather than constant adjustment. Once installed, the sight picture stays simple and repeatable, helping the shooter focus on front-sight acquisition and clean alignment. The square rear sight complements that approach by giving a defined rear reference that works well for practical accuracy and controlled shot placement.

Its steel construction adds durability for regular carry, holster use, and sustained range sessions, while the black finish keeps the set visually subdued on the slide. At 100.00 g, the sight set remains a compact upgrade that does not alter the pistol’s basic balance or operating feel. For Ruger P94 and P97 owners, this model is a straightforward way to add low-light capability while preserving the familiar speed and simplicity of traditional handgun iron sights.

About Meprolight

Meprolight was founded in 1990 as a supplier of sights and battle optics to the Israel Defense Forces. Based in Or Akiva, Israel, the company is a division of SK Group and develops and manufactures optical and electro-optical sighting systems. Its work spans conventional sights, tritium night sights, reflex optics, and thermal sights, with products made for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and carbines.

That background is especially relevant in the handgun sight category, where Meprolight has built its reputation on practical, duty-oriented aiming systems that emphasize durability, simple operation, and low-light capability. The company serves military, law-enforcement, and civilian markets, and its broader catalog also includes magnified optics, magnifiers, night-vision systems, and thermal devices. For pistol sights such as the Tru-Dot series, Meprolight’s identity is closely tied to self-illuminated designs intended to remain ready without batteries or complicated controls.
