Maven CRS.2 4-16X44

• 4-16x magnification range: Covers the space between woodland stalking and longer shots across open ground, giving the scope enough top-end magnification for precise placement without becoming oversized.
• 44 mm objective lens: The larger front lens helps the scope deliver a brighter image at useful hunting magnifications, which matters when game appears in the first or last light of the day.
• Second focal plane CSHR-W reticle: The reticle stays visually fine as magnification increases, so the sight picture remains uncluttered for careful aiming on small targets or partially obscured game.
• Side parallax adjustment: Lets the shooter fine-tune image focus and reduce aiming error at different distances without breaking position, which is especially helpful when stretching the scope toward its 16x upper end.
• Compact 1-inch tube design: Keeps weight to 480.00 g and overall length to 295.00 mm, making the riflescope easier to balance on lighter hunting rifles and simpler to mount with common 25.4 mm rings.

About the Maven CRS.2 Series

The Maven CRS.2 series sits in the brand’s more accessible hunting riflescope range, built for shooters who want a practical feature set and compact dimensions rather than oversized tactical hardware. In Maven’s lineup, the CRS family focuses on straightforward field use, combining Japanese manufacture with a lighter, trimmer format that suits stalking rifles, general-purpose hunting setups, and crossover rifles used from woodland edges to open country.

What defines the series is its emphasis on useful magnification, clean reticle design, and manageable size. The CRS.2 models use second focal plane reticles, a choice many hunters prefer because the reticle remains easy to see at low power and does not become visually heavy at higher magnification. The series also pairs a hunting-oriented zoom range with a 1-inch main tube, helping keep weight down while preserving a familiar mounting footprint. Optical performance is aimed at clarity, contrast, and dependable low-light usability, with the larger objective and quality glass working together to maintain a bright image in the periods when game is most active.

About the Maven CRS.2 4-16X44

The Maven CRS.2 4-16X44 is the higher-magnification model in the compact CRS line, intended for hunters who need more reach than a classic low-to-mid-power stalking scope provides. Its 4-16x magnification range makes it versatile across mixed terrain: 4x is still practical for shorter opportunities, while 16x gives the precision needed for careful shot placement at longer distances or for evaluating antlers and body detail before taking a shot. The 44.00 mm objective lens supports that role by maintaining a bright, usable image as magnification rises.

This model uses a second focal plane reticle and Maven’s CSHR-W wire reticle, with subtensions calibrated at 10x. In practice, that gives the shooter a fine, uncluttered aiming point for conventional hunting distances, while still offering holdover references when there is time to use them properly. The non-illuminated layout also keeps the scope simple and light, with no battery dependence in the field.

The turret system is configured for practical hunting use rather than constant dialing. With 0.250 MOA clicks and 18 MOA per revolution, adjustments are precise enough for zeroing and occasional correction, while the compact form stays well suited to rifles carried over long distances. A side parallax adjustment from 25y to infinity is a key advantage on a 16x scope, because it helps keep the target image sharp and reduces apparent reticle shift as shooting distance changes. Combined with its 295.00 mm length, 480.00 g weight, waterproof and fogproof construction, and nitrogen purging, the CRS.2 4-16X44 is a strong fit for big-game hunting where low carry weight and useful top-end magnification matter equally.

About Maven

Maven Outdoor Equipment Company was founded in 2013 in Lander, Wyoming. The company is a United States optics manufacturer headquartered in Lander, Wyoming, and it focuses on binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, rangefinders, and monoculars. A defining part of the brand’s identity is that Maven sells its optics directly to consumers, allowing it to concentrate resources on product design and component quality rather than a traditional retail structure.

Within its catalog, Maven covers a broad spread of field optics through lines such as the B, C, S, CS, RS, CRS, RF, and CRF series. That breadth is especially relevant in hunting optics, where the company offers both observation and aiming systems built around the same practical, field-oriented approach. The result is a brand known for compact, purpose-built optics that balance optical quality, straightforward mechanical design, and real-world usability.
