March 6-60x56 High Master Product description

  • 6-60x zoom range: Covers wide target acquisition at 6x and detailed shot observation at 60x, so one spotting scope can handle both scanning and precise impact reading.
  • High Master lens system: Super ED and high-refractive-index lens design helps control chromatic aberration and preserves fine detail, which matters when reading mirage, spotting trace, or checking bullet holes at distance.
  • FFP illuminated reticle: The first focal plane reticle stays proportional through the zoom range, making hold references and target correction easier to interpret at different magnifications, while red illumination improves visibility against dark backgrounds.
  • Long eye relief: With 74.00-92.50 mm of eye relief, the scope is more comfortable to use over long sessions and works well in shooting positions where head placement is less conventional than with a standard spotting scope.
  • Tracking-scope layout with tripod use: The compact 420.00 mm body, 1300.00 g weight and tripod-adaptable design support stable observation on the firing line while remaining portable enough for field use.

About the March High Master Series

March High Master sits in the premium end of the March lineup and brings the company’s advanced optical system into a format built for shooters who need to observe, track and correct with precision. The series was introduced as part of the new March Tracking Scope family announced in 2025 for launch in 2026, with the 6-60x56 mm FFP models forming the core of that range. These models are intended for shooting spotters and nature observers, combining very high magnification with a layout that is easier to use from the bench or on a tripod than a conventional riflescope.

A defining characteristic of the series is its High Master lens system with Super ED lenses, developed to improve resolution, color fidelity and control of chromatic aberration at high magnification. The 6-60x56 mm versions can be used in three viewing configurations: directly, with an eyepiece extension ring, or with an optional prism eyepiece. March also built the tracking scope around a gimbal swing mechanism that allows movement up to 26 degrees in any direction without repositioning the tripod, which makes it especially practical for following impacts, reading conditions and staying on target through long strings of fire.

About the March 6-60x56 High Master

The March 6-60x56 High Master is a tactical spotting scope designed for shooters who need more than simple observation. Its 6x to 60x magnification range gives it a broad working envelope: lower power is useful for locating targets and monitoring a wider area, while the upper end provides the image scale needed for reading bullet impact, mirage and fine target detail at long range. The 56.00 mm objective lens, paired with March’s High Master optical system, is aimed at maintaining clarity and contrast when magnification rises, where lesser optics often lose definition and show more color fringing.

This model stands out by combining spotting-scope use with riflescope-style reticle functionality. The 1. focal plane - FFP reticle remains in proportion as magnification changes, which helps when using the reticle for reference, correction or communication across the zoom range. Red illumination adds visibility when the reticle needs to stand out against dark targets or shaded backgrounds, and daytime-usable illumination makes that feature relevant in bright conditions rather than only at dusk.

Mechanically, the scope is built for stable, practical use on the firing line. It is tripod adaptable, waterproof, fogproof and shockproof, with argon filling for internal stability. The long eye relief of 74.00-92.50 mm makes viewing more forgiving during extended sessions, and parallax adjustment helps keep the image and reticle properly aligned as distances change. At 420.00 mm and 1300.00 g, it remains substantial enough for steady observation without becoming overly cumbersome to transport.

About March

March is the riflescope brand of DEON Optical Design Corporation, a Japanese company established in 2004. DEON designs and manufactures March optics in Japan and assembles them using Japanese-made components, reflecting a strong focus on mechanical precision and optical consistency. The company is headquartered in Chino, Nagano Prefecture, and it is known primarily for specialized high-magnification optics for precision shooting disciplines.

Within the March range, DEON has developed several distinct product families, including March-FX, March-X, Genesis and High Master. The company introduced its first March 40x52 mm benchrest scope in 2007 and later expanded the line with technologies such as Super ED lenses, added to the March range in 2017. That background is especially relevant here, because the High Master optical system is built around Super ED and high-refractive-index lens elements to support the high-resolution image quality expected in demanding spotting and long-range shooting applications.
