MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Sako 75, 85, Zeiss ZM / VM rail

• Two-piece pivot design: The separate front and rear bases keep the mounting system compact and rifle-specific, giving a clean fit on compatible Sako actions while preserving access around the receiver.
• Rotation lock system: The rotating lock secures the optic in a repeatable position, which is valuable for hunters who remove a scope for transport or switch between sighting setups and want dependable return to alignment.
• Zeiss ZM / VM rail interface: Built for rail-mounted optics rather than ring clamping, this version provides a precise, centered connection that suits premium riflescopes with Zeiss rail geometry and avoids scope tube marking.
• Steel construction: The steel build favors long-term rigidity and wear resistance, helping the mount withstand repeated opening and closing of the pivot mechanism as well as field use on hunting rifles.
• Model-specific Sako compatibility: Designed for a defined group of Sako rifles, this mount offers a purpose-built fit that simplifies optic installation compared with more universal mounting solutions.

About the MAKlassic Series

The MAKlassic series is MAK’s traditional line of two-piece pivot mounts for rifles and break-action firearms. Documented in MAK catalogues by 2019, the series is built around the idea of a rifle-specific mounting solution that combines a classic pivoting layout with modern manufacturing consistency. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, MAKlassic models are configured for particular firearm platforms, optic interfaces, and mounting heights, which makes the series especially relevant for hunters who want a mount matched closely to both rifle and sight.

Within the range, MAK offers versions with rotating locks and lever locks, along with configurations for both scope tubes and optic rails. That flexibility allows the series to cover everything from conventional hunting scopes to rail-equipped premium optics. The design philosophy is practical: a low-profile, mechanically secure mount that can be tailored to the rifle’s action and the optic’s footprint, while keeping the handling qualities of the firearm intact. Different front-foot offsets and height options further help the series adapt to varied stock shapes, bolt clearance needs, and objective sizes.

About the MAKlassic 2 piece Pivot Mount, Rotation lock, Sako 75, 85, Zeiss ZM / VM rail

This MAKlassic 2-piece pivot mount is configured for Sako 75 and Sako 85 rifles and built to accept optics with the Zeiss ZM / VM rail interface. That combination makes it a specialized hunting mount for shooters who want the clean fit of a rifle-specific base together with the secure alignment of a rail-mounted riflescope. Because the mount is made for the Zeiss rail standard, it supports a direct, centered connection to compatible optics without relying on conventional scope rings.

The practical advantage of the rotation lock is repeatable handling in the field. A pivot mount is often chosen by hunters who value the option to remove or refit an optic as conditions change, and the rotating lock is part of what makes that system useful in real use rather than only in theory. It gives the mount a defined locking action, helping the scope return to its seated position with consistent engagement. On a hunting rifle carried over long distances or transported frequently, that kind of mechanical repeatability matters as much as raw strength.

Steel construction supports that role well. Steel is well suited to the bearing surfaces and locking areas of a pivot mount, where repeated movement and secure engagement are more important than saving every possible gram. In practice, this mount is aimed at shooters who want a durable, traditional mounting system for a compatible Sako rifle and a Zeiss rail scope, with the tidy appearance and platform-specific fit that a dedicated pivot mount provides.

About MAK

MAK is a German brand associated with Kilic Feintechnik GmbH in Schwebheim, Germany. The company develops and manufactures optical mounts, optics, and electronic products, serving civilian and government markets that include hunters, sport shooters, and professional users. Its product portfolio combines standardized catalog products with customized solutions for more specialized applications, which helps explain MAK’s strong focus on platform-specific mounting systems.

The MAK Group identifies patented solutions across its optics, mounts, and electronics. In addition to mounting lines such as MAKuick and MAKlassic, the company’s range includes MAKdot red-dot sights, MAKstorm prism sights, MAKpro riflescopes, and electronic accessories such as the MAKcam. That breadth gives MAK a practical understanding of how optics and mounts work together on sporting and professional firearms, and it is reflected in products that emphasize fit, repeatability, and mechanical reliability.
