Levenhuk Sherman 7x50

• 7x50 configuration: The combination of 7x magnification and a 50 mm objective lens delivers a bright, steady image that is easy to hold for long observation sessions in the field or at dusk.
• Porro prism optical system: Porro prisms provide strong depth perception and a spacious view, which helps when scanning woodland edges, open ground, or moving wildlife.
• Long eye relief: With 24.00 mm eye relief, the binocular is comfortable for eyeglass wearers and easier to use for extended viewing without a cramped eye position.
• Waterproof, nitrogen-filled housing: The sealed body with nitrogen filling resists internal fogging and handles wet, changeable weather more reliably during hunting, travel, and general outdoor use.
• Central focusing with diopter adjustment: A central focus system makes quick refocusing simple, while the right-eyepiece diopter adjustment helps fine-tune the image to the user’s eyesight.

About the Levenhuk Sherman Series

Levenhuk Sherman is a field-oriented binocular series built around a traditional Porro prism layout and intended for outdoor observation where image brightness, handling, and durability matter more than compact size. Introduced in 2015 as the successor to Levenhuk’s Bino and Energy lines, the Sherman family was developed for users who need practical binoculars for hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, and travel. Across the range, the series combines multi-coated optics with nitrogen-filled waterproof housings, giving it a clear focus on dependable use in variable weather.

Within the lineup, Sherman models are designed to offer the classic strengths of Porro binoculars: a naturally spacious image, strong stereoscopic depth, and comfortable viewing for long sessions. The family includes BASE, PLUS, and PRO variants, with higher-tier versions adding upgraded optical systems and, in the PRO line, BaK-4 prism construction. That makes the Sherman series a sensible choice for users who want traditional outdoor binoculars with straightforward controls, solid weather protection, and optical designs suited to scanning terrain, following wildlife, and general-purpose observation in daylight or fading light.

About the Levenhuk Sherman 7x50

Levenhuk Sherman 7x50 is a classic full-size binocular built for users who value a bright image and relaxed viewing over high magnification. Its 7x magnification is easy to hold steady by hand, which is useful when glassing for long periods from a hide, on a trail, or at the edge of a field. Paired with a 50.00 mm objective lens and a large 7.14 mm exit pupil, it is well suited to low-light observation, where a generous beam of light helps maintain an easy, bright view in overcast conditions or around dawn and dusk.

The Porro prism design supports a broad, natural image with good depth perception, and the 100.28 m/1000m field of view gives enough width for scanning open areas and tracking movement. Fully multi-coated optics help preserve contrast and brightness, while the 24.00 mm eye relief makes the binocular especially accommodating for eyeglass wearers. The central focusing system keeps operation simple in the field, and the -4 / +4 diopter adjustment on the right eyepiece allows the image to be balanced precisely between both eyes.

Mechanically, the binocular is built for outdoor use rather than occasional casual viewing. Its waterproof, fogproof housing and nitrogen-filled body help it cope with rain, temperature changes, and damp environments. At 895.00 g, it has the weight and size expected of a traditional 7x50, giving it a planted feel in the hands and a stable viewing experience for hunting optics, nature observation, and general field use.

About Levenhuk

Levenhuk began operations in 2002 and describes itself as an American manufacturer of optical instruments with headquarters in Tampa, Florida. The company focuses on accessible observation equipment across several categories, including binoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, monoculars, and microscopes. Within binoculars, its range covers multiple families such as Atom, Karma, Sherman, and Vegas, giving it a broad presence from entry-level models to more specialized field optics.

Levenhuk’s catalog also extends into newer observation technologies, including thermal and digital night-vision devices, while some of its higher-grade binocular lines use features such as ED glass to reduce optical and color aberrations. For products like the Sherman series, the brand is known for combining practical outdoor-oriented designs with straightforward operation and weather-protected construction. Levenhuk states that its manufacturing facilities are located in China, while product development and brand positioning are managed from the United States.
