Leupold IMS Mount Bolt-Action, 34 mm Product description

  • Bolt-action specific geometry: The mount is shaped to provide bolt throw and bolt-handle clearance, so the rifle cycles freely without forcing compromises in scope position.
  • One-piece IMS construction: An integral mount keeps ring alignment consistent and simplifies installation, helping a 34 mm riflescope stay secure under repeated recoil and field use.
  • 1.5 in centerline height: This height is well suited to chassis-style long-range rifles, giving a more natural cheek weld and more repeatable head placement behind the optic.
  • 34 mm scope compatibility: The mount is built for large-maintube optics, making it a practical choice for precision riflescopes with greater adjustment travel and larger internal assemblies.
  • Picatinny rail fit: Designed for MIL-spec 1913/Picatinny interfaces, it gives a solid attachment method across a wide range of tactical and precision bolt-action platforms.

About the Leupold Mark IMS Rings Series

Leupold Mark IMS Rings are part of the company’s Integral Mounting System family, developed to solve scope-positioning and height challenges on rifles that use a MIL-spec 1913 Picatinny rail. Within Leupold’s mounting lineup, the series sits in the tactical and precision segment, pairing one-piece construction with ring diameters suited to modern large-tube optics. The family includes versions for both AR-style rifles and bolt-action receivers, so the geometry can be matched to the rifle rather than forcing a generic mount to do every job.

Across the series, Leupold offers 34 mm and 35 mm variants, along with models in zero cant and 20 MOA configurations. AR-oriented versions use a forward cantilever layout to push the optic farther ahead for proper eye relief, while bolt-action models focus on receiver clearance and scope height for precision shooting setups. The design philosophy is straightforward: keep the optic secure, maintain alignment, and place the scope where the shooter can build a repeatable position behind the rifle. That makes the Mark IMS family a natural fit for tactical optics, long-range rifles, and chassis-based shooting systems.

About the Leupold IMS Mount Bolt-Action, 34 mm

The Leupold IMS Mount Bolt-Action, 34 mm is built for shooters using a 34 mm riflescope on a bolt-action rifle with a Picatinny rail, especially where a conventional ring-and-base setup may not provide the right combination of clearance, height, and alignment. Its one-piece layout keeps both rings in a fixed relationship, which helps simplify mounting and supports consistent scope positioning on rifles intended for precision or long-range work.

What sets this model apart is its bolt-action specific geometry. Rather than borrowing the forward-biased layout common to AR mounts, this version is shaped to preserve bolt throw and bolt-handle clearance. In practice, that means the action can be cycled cleanly without the eyepiece or saddle area interfering with operation. The mount also places the optic at a height that supports a more natural cheek weld on chassis-style rifles, helping the shooter return to the same head position from shot to shot.

With a 1.5 in ring height and a length of 145.70 mm, this mount is well suited to larger precision scopes that need stable support across a substantial section of the tube. The steel construction listed for this model emphasizes rigidity and durability, while the Made in USA build reflects Leupold’s focus on hard-use shooting equipment. For tactical optics or hunting optics mounted on modern bolt guns, this IMS mount is designed to keep the optic secure without compromising rifle handling.

About Leupold

Leupold & Volpel was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1907 by Fred Leupold and Adam Volpel. The company later introduced its first riflescope, the Plainsman in 1947, and followed with the Duplex reticle in 1962, a design that became widely recognized in sporting optics. In 1968, Leupold moved its manufacturing plant and headquarters to Beaverton, Oregon, where Leupold & Stevens, Inc. remains based.

Today, the family-owned company develops optics for hunting, shooting, and outdoor use, with product lines that include riflescopes, red dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, and thermal optics. Within that range, Leupold is especially well known for its VX-series hunting scopes and Mark-series tactical optics, along with the mounts and accessories that support them.
