The 2.5–10× magnification range provides a 4× zoom ratio starting from a low 2.5×, which gives a field of view of 16.8 metres at 100 metres — broad enough for driven hunting and woodland shooting where game may appear quickly at close range — while the 10× upper end provides adequate image resolution for deliberate shot placement at typical open-country hunting distances.

The 50mm objective lens, combined with the H2 optical system and 11-layer fully multi-coated lenses, delivers high light transmission and a bright, clear image across the magnification range. An exit pupil of 20 mm at 2.5× ensures a large, accessible sight picture at low power during the low-light periods at dawn and dusk that are most productive for many hunting disciplines. Parallax is fixed at 91 metres, removing the need for parallax correction during fast field situations. The fast-focus eyebell allows rapid dioptre adjustment, and the included XL zoom throw lever enables fast magnification changes without breaking cheek weld.
