Hawke Frontier 1x22

• 2 MOA Red Dot with 10-Stage Digital Brightness Control: The 2 MOA dot provides a precise aim point that covers minimal target detail at distance while remaining clearly visible for fast acquisition at close range. The 10-stage digital brightness control spans 8 daytime settings and 2 night-vision compatible settings, allowing the shooter to match dot brightness precisely to ambient light conditions — from bright sunlight through to NV-equipped use in total darkness.
• A.I.M. (Auto Illumination Mode) for Extended Battery Life: The built-in A.I.M. system monitors movement and automatically places the sight into standby mode when no motion is detected for 2 minutes. As soon as movement is sensed, the sight powers on immediately with no delay. Paired with a high-efficiency LED emitter, this allows the Frontier to run at full daylight brightness for several years on a single CR2032 battery — removing battery management as a practical concern during extended hunting or competition use.
• Three Mounting Options in One Package: The Frontier 1x22 ships with both a low-profile Weaver/Picatinny mount and a lower-1/3 co-witness quick-release high mount, providing immediate compatibility with flat-top AR-style rifles where lower-1/3 co-witness height is needed, as well as hunting rifles and pistols where a lower mount profile is preferred. The sight body also incorporates a Micro T-2 footprint, allowing direct mounting on any optic plate or adapter designed for this footprint standard.
• 25-Layer Multi-Coated Optics with IPX7 Waterproofing: The 25-layer multi-coated lens specification — the highest coating layer count in Hawke's H7 optics range — maximises light transmission and minimises internal reflections, ensuring a clean, undistorted sight picture at the emitter. The aluminium housing is nitrogen purged, fully sealed to IPX7 waterproof standard (submersion to 1 metre), fogproof, and shockproof — suited to demanding field use on hard-recoiling platforms and in adverse weather.
• Parallax-Free from 9 Metres with ½ MOA Adjustments: The sight is parallax error-free from 9 metres to infinity, ensuring the dot remains on the point of aim regardless of eye position — critical for fast, reactive shooting where precise eye alignment is not guaranteed. The ½ MOA click-value turrets are guarded against accidental adjustment and provide precise zeroing for a dot sight, allowing the shooter to set an exact zero rather than estimating adjustment increments.

About the Frontier Red Dot Series

The Hawke Frontier Red Dot series is Hawke's highest-specification enclosed red dot sight range, built on the H7 optical system — the same tier used in the Frontier riflescope lineup. The series is designed for shooters who require a compact, lightweight, fully sealed red dot sight capable of handling the mechanical demands of AR platforms, hard-recoiling hunting rifles, and pistols, while providing the brightness range needed for both daytime hunting use and night-vision-compatible operation.

All Frontier Red Dot models feature the proprietary A.I.M. (Auto Illumination Mode) system for extended battery life, multi-stage digital brightness control including night-vision settings, guarded turrets for zero protection, and IPX7 waterproofing. The series is distinguished from Hawke's H2 and H5 red dot offerings by the higher lens coating specification and the A.I.M. power management system. Mounting versatility is a consistent design priority across the Frontier Red Dot lineup, with multiple mount options and Micro T-2 footprint compatibility included as standard to maximise platform compatibility out of the box.

About the Model (Hawke Frontier Red Dot 1x22 Weaver / Micro T-2)

The Hawke Frontier Red Dot 1x22 is a compact, fully enclosed red dot sight designed for use on AR-style rifles, hunting rifles, and pistols where a lightweight, multi-platform optic with extended battery life and night-vision compatibility is required. At 110 g without mount and 71 mm in length, it is a notably compact unit for a fully enclosed aluminium red dot sight, keeping the addition to total system weight and rail footprint minimal across all intended platforms.

The 2 MOA dot is produced by a high-efficiency LED emitter and is visible in red only across 10 digital brightness steps — eight for daytime use and two calibrated for use with night-vision equipment. The A.I.M. system enters standby automatically after 2 minutes without detected movement and powers on immediately when motion resumes, extending battery life to several years at daylight-bright settings from a single CR2032 cell. The 25-layer multi-coated 22mm lens maximises transmitted light and minimises reflections for a clean, high-contrast sight picture.

The sight is parallax-free from 9 metres to infinity, and the guarded turrets provide ½ MOA adjustments for precise zeroing while protecting against accidental zero shift during carry. Three mounting configurations are supplied: a low-profile Weaver/Picatinny mount (rail-to-centre height 21.5mm), a quick-release lower-1/3 co-witness high mount (rail-to-centre height 40.4mm), and the sight body's built-in Micro T-2 footprint for direct plate or adapter mounting. The body is nitrogen purged, IPX7 waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof.

About Hawke

Hawke Optics is a British optics brand registered in England and Wales, with products distributed across Europe, North America, and international markets. The company produces a broad range of optical products including riflescopes, airgun scopes, crossbow scopes, red dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, and laser rangefinders, covering applications from hunting and precision shooting to nature observation and marine use.

Hawke organises its product lineup into distinct optical system tiers — from the entry-level H2 through H5 to the flagship H7 — with each tier reflecting the glass specification, coating technology, and feature level of the products within it. The Frontier series represents the H7 tier, Hawke's highest optical specification, and covers riflescopes, red dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, and laser rangefinding binoculars across the full product range.
