EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Tikka 16mm dovetail, KR 26mm

• 16 mm dovetail fit: Built for rifles with a Tikka 16 mm dovetail, this base provides a direct interface that keeps the mounting setup simple and mechanically secure.
• 26 mm ring configuration: The 26 mm format suits classic riflescopes with a 1-inch main tube, making it a practical choice for traditional hunting optics and lightweight rifle builds.
• Roll-off design: As part of the EAW Roll-off Mounts family, the base supports a system designed for removing and refitting the optic, which is useful when switching sighting setups or transporting the rifle more compactly.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed for a stable optic platform on sporting rifles.
• Low 8.20 mm height: The compact build helps keep the riflescope close to the bore line, supporting a natural cheek weld and a more balanced overall handling feel.

About the EAW Roll-off Mounts Series

EAW Roll-off Mounts sit in the EAW lineup as a more economical alternative to the company’s pivot mounts, aimed at shooters who want solid German-made mounting hardware without moving into a more elaborate quick-detach system. The series is intended mainly for lighter firearm setups, including small-calibre rifles, air rifles, and firearms with integrated dovetail interfaces, while still covering a broad range of mounting needs through EAW’s modular approach.

A defining trait of the series is the ability to remove and reattach the riflescope, with model-specific configurations for fixed installation or repeatable attachment. The range includes versions for Picatinny rails and dovetail interfaces, along with one-piece and two-piece layouts depending on the rifle and optic combination. Some models also use pivot-mounted rings or prism-based upper sections, although these details vary by version. In practical terms, the series is built around straightforward handling, compact mechanical design, and compatibility with traditional hunting optics as well as lighter sporting rifles.

About the EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Tikka 16mm dovetail, KR 26mm

The EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Tikka 16mm dovetail, KR 26mm is a compact mounting solution for rifles that use the Tikka 16 mm dovetail interface and are paired with a 26 mm scope tube. That makes it especially relevant for classic hunting rifles and traditional optic setups where low weight and clean proportions matter as much as secure fit. The low 8.20 mm height helps keep the scope close to the action, which supports a more natural head position behind the rifle and can make the overall setup feel less top-heavy in the field.

Its aluminium construction keeps unnecessary mass off the rifle, an advantage on carry-heavy hunting builds or compact sporting rifles where balance is important. The 0 MOA inclination suits general-purpose sighting setups where no built-in cant is required, keeping the mount neutral and straightforward for conventional zeroing distances. With KR 0.0 mm extension, the base stays compact and uncomplicated, which is often preferable when the rifle and scope already align well without needing extra forward or rearward offset.

As part of the EAW Roll-off system, this base is designed around practical optic mounting rather than unnecessary complexity. It suits shooters who want a tidy, low-profile interface for a traditional riflescope on a Tikka dovetail rifle, while staying within a mounting family known for modularity and repeatable mechanical design.

About EAW

EAW traces its history to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. In 1923, he acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg. The company developed and produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its primary focus.

Today, EAW is known above all for riflescope mounting systems, including pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts, while also offering thermal imaging cameras. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. In this product category, EAW’s reputation rests on long experience with mechanically precise mounting solutions made for hunting and sporting rifles.
