EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Steyr Police I+II

• Steyr Police I+II fit: This EAW roll-off mount base is made specifically for the Steyr Police I+II platform, giving a correct interface for a secure and properly aligned scope mounting setup.
• Roll-off mount system: As part of the EAW Roll-off Mounts family, the base supports a system built around removing and refitting the optic, which is useful when a rifle must switch between sighting setups or be transported more compactly.
• Aluminium construction: The aluminium body keeps weight down while still providing the rigidity needed in a scope mount base, helping preserve the rifle’s handling balance.
• 0 MOA inclination: With no built-in cant, this base suits standard sighting setups and keeps the optic in a neutral position for general shooting applications.
• Made in Germany: German manufacture reflects EAW’s long-standing emphasis on precise machining and consistent fit, both of which matter in a mounting component that forms the foundation of the optic system.

About the EAW Roll-off Mounts Series

EAW Roll-off Mounts sit in the brand’s range as a practical alternative to the company’s pivot mounts, aimed at shooters who want a dependable mounting solution for lighter firearm setups without moving into more complex systems. The series is built around the idea of a scope mount that can be removed and reattached, which makes it relevant for rifles that may be carried, stored or configured in different ways over time.

Within the family, EAW offers both one-piece and two-piece designs, with model-specific variations depending on the firearm interface and intended use. The range covers air rifles, small-calibre shotguns and rifles with integrated cylindrical or conical dovetails, and it also extends to Picatinny-based solutions. Some versions are intended for fixed installation, while others use lever-lock arrangements for repeatable attachment. Across the series, the design philosophy stays consistent: keep the mount mechanically straightforward, keep weight under control, and provide a stable platform that supports accurate optic positioning without unnecessary bulk.

About the EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Steyr Police I+II

The EAW Roll-off Mount Base for Steyr Police I+II is a model-specific mounting component made for shooters who need a correct foundation for fitting an optic to the Steyr Police I+II rifle. In any riflescope mounting system, the base is the part that determines how securely and precisely the optic assembly interfaces with the firearm, so a dedicated fit matters more than it might appear at first glance. A base matched to the rifle helps maintain proper alignment and reduces the compromises that can come with generic adapters.

This version uses an aluminium construction, which is a sensible choice for a rifle mount base because it combines low weight with the stiffness needed for a stable optic platform. That helps preserve the handling of the rifle while still giving the mount system a solid starting point. The black finish keeps the appearance discreet and consistent with most tactical and hunting optics setups.

With 0 MOA inclination, the base keeps the optic in a neutral mounting position. That makes it well suited to standard zeroing distances and general-purpose riflescope setups where additional built-in elevation is not required. The listed KR 0.0 mm extension indicates a non-extended configuration, which suits installations where the rifle and optic geometry already provide the correct eye relief position. As part of the EAW roll-off system, this base is intended for users who value a clean, firearm-specific mount interface and the practical flexibility associated with removable scope mounting solutions.

About EAW

EAW was founded by Ernst Apel in Würzburg, Germany, in 1919. The company’s name comes from Ernst Apel Würzburg, adopted after Ernst Apel acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt in 1923. EAW developed its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been the company’s main focus.

Today, EAW is known primarily for German-made riflescope mounting systems, including pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts. Production moved from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970, and Ernst Apel GmbH is now headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany. Alongside its established hunting and sporting mounts, EAW has also expanded into tactical applications and offers thermal imaging products, but its reputation remains closely tied to precise, model-specific mounting solutions for sporting and professional rifles.
