EAW pivot mount, 30 mm, CZ 527

• Repeatable return to zero: The EAW pivot design lets the scope be removed and reattached without shifting point of impact, which is especially useful when alternating between optics or returning the rifle to open-sight use.
• 30 mm ring configuration: Built for 30 mm scope tubes, this mount gives a secure, purpose-made interface for many hunting riflescopes while keeping the installation matched to the optic rather than relying on adapters.
• Steel construction: A steel mount body provides the rigidity and wear resistance needed for long service life, helping the mount maintain alignment through repeated removal, reinstallation and field use.
• Rifle-specific fit for CZ 527: Designed for the CZ 527 and related 16.5 mm CZ/Brno interface, it offers a model-matched mounting solution that simplifies proper fit and preserves the handling of the rifle.
• Adjustable mount-foot fit: The EAW pivot system uses adjustable front and rear mount-foot fits, allowing precise setup so the mount closes correctly and delivers the repeatability expected from a detachable hunting optic mount.

About the EAW Pivot Mounts Series

EAW Pivot Mounts are the company’s long-established detachable mounting system for common rifles and long guns. EAW states that it introduced this design more than 50 years ago, and the concept remains focused on one practical advantage: a riflescope can be removed and reattached with repeatable zero retention. That makes the series well suited to hunters who use more than one optic on the same rifle, or who want the option of returning quickly to another aiming solution.

The series is defined by its adjustable front and rear mount-foot fit, which allows careful fitting to the rifle and optic combination. In practical use, that adjustability is what gives the pivot system its precise lock-up and consistent return-to-zero behavior. Within the wider EAW lineup, pivot mounts sit as a traditional all-steel solution for shooters who value a detachable mount with a proven mechanical layout. The range covers many popular rifle platforms and supports different optic configurations, making it a natural choice for classic hunting rifles as well as rifles that may carry a second scope or aiming device for different field conditions.

About the EAW pivot mount, 30 mm, CZ 527

The EAW pivot mount, 30 mm, CZ 527 is a rifle-specific detachable scope mount built for the CZ 527 platform and for optics with a 30 mm main tube. Its main strength is the combination of a model-matched base interface and the established EAW pivot mechanism, giving the rifle a secure scope installation that can still be removed when needed. For a hunting rifle, that matters in day-to-day use: the optic can be taken off for transport, maintenance or a change of sighting setup, then reinstalled without treating the mount as a one-time fixed assembly.

The use of steel construction is important here because a pivot mount depends on precise bearing surfaces and consistent lock-up over time. Steel resists wear at those contact points and supports the kind of long-term dimensional stability expected from a detachable mount that may be opened and closed repeatedly. The 30 mm ring format also makes this version a practical match for many European hunting riflescopes, allowing the shooter to pair a traditional bolt-action rifle with a wide range of full-size optics.

Because this mount is configured specifically for the CZ 527 and the related 16.5 mm CZ/Brno interface, it suits users who want a mounting solution that follows the geometry of the rifle rather than a generic rail-based approach. The result is a clean, mechanically focused setup that supports reliable scope positioning and preserves the practical advantage of a detachable hunting optic mount.

About EAW

EAW traces its history to 1919, when Ernst Apel founded the company in Würzburg, Germany. In 1923, he acquired Elektro-Dental-Werke Frankfurt and changed the EDW brand to EAW, meaning Ernst Apel Würzburg. The company produced its first riflescope mounts in 1945, and since 1951 mount development and production have been its primary focus.

Today, Ernst Apel GmbH is headquartered in Eibelstadt, Germany, following the move of production from Würzburg to Gerbrunn in 1970. EAW is known for building pivot, slide-on or roll-off, and claw mounts for riflescopes, with a strong reputation in the field of detachable hunting mounts. Its product range also includes newer tactical mounting solutions and thermal imaging devices, but the brand remains especially associated with precise, mechanically engineered scope mounts made in Germany.
