DP Pro Dovetail Mount, Kimber 1911

• Kimber 1911-specific fit: This dovetail mount is made for the Kimber 1911, giving the DeltaPoint Pro a secure interface without the bulk of a universal adapter.
• DeltaPoint Pro mounting platform: It provides the correct footprint for the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, making it a practical way to add a proven pistol red dot to a 1911 setup.
• Steel construction: The steel body adds strength at the critical connection point between slide and optic, helping the mount stay stable under repeated recoil.
• Matte black finish: The black matte finish keeps reflections down and matches the subdued look of modern handgun optics and carry pistols.
• Made in the USA: USA manufacturing reflects Leupold’s focus on durable mounting hardware for hunting optics, shooting, and defensive handgun use.

About the Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Mounts Series

Leupold DeltaPoint Pro Mounts are built as a dedicated family of interfaces for attaching the DeltaPoint Pro to different firearms and mounting systems. In Leupold’s lineup, they serve shooters who want to use the same red-dot sight across handguns, AR-style rifles, and rail-equipped platforms while keeping the mounting solution matched to the firearm rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all adapter.

The series includes purpose-built options such as dovetail mounts for specific handgun models, cross-slot mounts for Picatinny and Weaver-style rails, and specialized configurations for AR applications. That design approach matters in practice because the mount determines optic height, fit, and long-term stability just as much as the sight itself. Across the range, the emphasis is on straightforward compatibility, compact dimensions, and a durable connection between optic and firearm. For shooters building a pistol red-dot setup, a backup offset sighting arrangement, or a rail-mounted carbine configuration, the DeltaPoint Pro Mounts series is intended to keep the optic properly positioned and securely supported.

About the DP Pro Dovetail Mount, Kimber 1911

The DP Pro Dovetail Mount, Kimber 1911 is a dedicated handgun mount designed to place a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro on a compatible Kimber 1911. Its main advantage is fit: instead of adapting a general-purpose plate to several pistols, this model is tailored to a specific handgun pattern, which helps maintain a cleaner installation and a more stable optic interface. For a 1911 used in range shooting, defensive training, or practical competition, that matters because the sight and mount need to stay aligned through repeated slide movement and recoil.

The mount uses a steel construction, giving extra strength at one of the most stressed points in a red-dot pistol setup. That material choice supports durability where the optic meets the handgun, especially on a reciprocating slide. The matte black finish keeps the appearance subdued and reduces glare, which suits both field and range use. Because this is a fixed dovetail-style solution, it is best suited to shooters who want a simple, model-specific way to add a DeltaPoint Pro without unnecessary height or added complexity. As part of Leupold’s handgun mounting range, it focuses on secure attachment, practical durability, and a form factor that complements the handling characteristics of the 1911 platform.

About Leupold

Leupold & Volpel was founded in 1907 in Portland, Oregon by Fred Leupold and Adam Volpel. The company later became Leupold & Stevens, Inc. and is headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon. It remains family-owned and focuses on sport optics for hunting, shooting, and outdoor use.

Leupold is especially well known for riflescopes, including the VX-series and Mark-series, but its catalog also covers red dot sights, binoculars, spotting scopes, rangefinders, and thermal optics. The company introduced its first riflescope, the Plainsman, in 1947, and later introduced the Duplex reticle in 1962. That long background in recoil-resistant optics and mounting solutions is directly relevant to products such as handgun red-dot mounts, where secure fit and durability are essential.
