Discovery Optics Dovetail Universal Rings

• Broad dovetail compatibility: The universal dovetail layout fits a wide range of rimfire and small-bore rifles with 11 mm or 3/8" style dovetail grooves, making it a practical choice when one set of rings needs to serve several platforms.
• Two-piece ring design: Separate front and rear rings give more freedom in scope positioning, which helps achieve proper eye relief and leaves loading or ejection areas less obstructed than many one-piece mounts.
• 0 MOA alignment: The flat, non-canted setup keeps the optic centered in a neutral mounting position, which suits general hunting, target shooting, and rimfire use where extra elevation bias is not required.
• Black finish: The subdued black exterior blends cleanly with most rifles and optics while helping the rings resist visible wear in regular field or range use.
• Universal optic support: Designed as a universal ring solution, this mount works well for shooters building a straightforward dovetail-based setup without moving to a Picatinny rail system.

About the Discovery Optics Mounts Series

Discovery Optics Mounts covers the brand’s accessory range for shooters who need practical mounting solutions to match its optics. Within the lineup, dovetail-ring models are intended for rifles that use traditional dovetail-groove rails rather than Picatinny bases, making them especially relevant for rimfire rifles, training rifles, and classic small-bore platforms. The series includes two-piece ring designs, which give flexibility in scope placement and keep the mounting arrangement simple and easy to adapt to different receiver lengths.

Discovery Optics offers these dovetail options for 25.4 mm, 30 mm, and 34 mm scope tubes, so the series can support everything from compact hunting optics to larger tactical-style scopes. In the same family, the brand also lists a multi-compatible dovetail mount built from 6061-T6 aluminum with a hard-anodized finish, showing that the series is aimed at balancing low weight, straightforward installation, and dependable everyday use. Alongside dovetail products, the range also includes mounts for Picatinny rails, so the series sits as a broad accessory platform for shooters using different rifle and optic combinations.

About the Discovery Optics Dovetail Universal Rings

Discovery Optics Dovetail Universal Rings are built for shooters who want a direct-to-dovetail mounting solution without adding extra rail adapters or unnecessary bulk. Their role is straightforward: provide a stable interface between a riflescope and a rifle with a dovetail receiver, while keeping the setup compact and mechanically simple. That makes them well suited to rimfire rifles, training rifles, and small-bore sporting platforms where a clean, low-complexity mounting arrangement is often preferred.

The two-piece construction is one of the main practical advantages of this model. Because each ring mounts independently, there is more freedom to position the scope for correct eye relief and to work around different receiver lengths or action layouts. On rifles with limited mounting space, that flexibility can make scope installation easier than with a fixed one-piece mount. The 0 MOA inclination also keeps the optic in a neutral position, which is appropriate for general-purpose shooting distances and for rifles that do not need a built-in elevation cant.

These rings are described as universal, and that matters in practice because they are intended to cover a broad set of dovetail-equipped rifles rather than a single proprietary platform. Finished in black, they match most scopes and actions with a restrained appearance suited to both hunting optics and range rifles. For shooters using one of the many compatible 11 mm or 3/8" dovetail platforms, this model offers a simple way to mount an optic while preserving the rifle’s original dovetail interface.

About Discovery Optics

Discovery Optics, presented by the company as DISCOVERYOPT, states that it was established in 2009 and lists its main operations in Bao'an, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The brand focuses on optics for shooting and hunting, with a catalogue that includes riflescopes, electro-optical sighting devices, and thermal imaging products. Its riflescope range spans series such as XED, ED, LHD, and HD, and the company offers models with both first-focal-plane and second-focal-plane reticles to cover different shooting styles. That mix of conventional optical sights and newer electro-optical products places Discovery Optics as a broad sporting-optics manufacturer rather than a single-category specialist.
