Bushnell Powerview 16x32

• 16x magnification: brings distant subjects noticeably closer, making this compact binocular useful for long-range viewing where extra image scale matters more than a very wide view.
• Compact 32 mm objective system: keeps the Bushnell Powerview 16x32 smaller and lighter than full-size high-power binoculars, so it is easier to carry in a day pack or keep close at hand.
• Roof prism design: the Schmidt/Pechan roof prism layout gives the binocular a slim, foldable shape that travels well and stores more easily than bulkier Porro designs.
• Fully multicoated optics: help improve light transmission and contrast, which supports a clearer image with less distracting glare in daylight observation.
• Central focusing with right-eye diopter: allows quick overall focus and easy compensation for differences between the eyes, helping the image snap into focus faster in practical use.

About the Bushnell Powerview Series

Bushnell Powerview binoculars sit in the brand’s accessible general-use range, aimed at users who want straightforward optics for travel, casual wildlife observation, outdoor events, and everyday field use. Within the broader family, compact and full-size configurations are offered with different magnifications and objective sizes, so the series covers both easy-to-carry models and options that favor more reach. The line has included roof, folding-roof, and Porro prism designs, depending on the model, which gives Bushnell flexibility to match size, handling, and viewing priorities to different applications.

A consistent theme in the series is practical usability rather than specialized complexity. Multi-coated lenses are part of the Powerview concept, supporting a cleaner, brighter image for routine daytime glassing. In newer PowerView 2 models, Bushnell also moved to an aluminum chassis, showing the series’ focus on keeping binoculars portable while improving day-to-day durability. Overall, the Powerview family is designed for users who need recognizable Bushnell handling and a broad choice of formats without moving into heavier premium hunting optics.

About the Bushnell Powerview 16x32

The Bushnell Powerview 16x32 is a compact binocular built around high 16x magnification, which makes it distinct from lower-power all-round models. That extra reach is useful when the priority is pulling distant details closer, whether scanning open ground, observing fixed subjects, or using a compact binocular for occasional astronomy-style viewing. The trade-off is a narrower 60.00 m/1000m field of view, so this model suits deliberate observation better than fast tracking at short range.

Its 32.00 mm objective lenses and roof prism layout keep the binocular relatively easy to carry at 353.00 g. That matters for users who want more magnification without stepping up to a much larger full-size body. The dual-hinge construction also helps the binocular pack down neatly for transport. Optically, the fully multicoated lenses are there to support contrast and reduce reflections, which is especially helpful in bright daylight where glare can wash out fine detail.

The focusing system is set up for straightforward field use, with central focusing for quick adjustment and a right eyepiece diopter to fine-tune the view to the user’s eyesight. Eye relief is 12.00 mm, and the 2.00 mm exit pupil reflects the model’s emphasis on compact size and long reach rather than low-light brightness. In practice, this makes the Powerview 16x32 a sensible choice for daylight observation where portability and magnification matter more than wide-angle viewing or weather-sealed construction.

About Bushnell

Bushnell was founded in 1948 by Dave Bushnell, who began selling optical products from a photographic shop in Pasadena, California. The company built its name around practical sports optics and has long focused on equipment for hunting, target shooting, birding, and nature observation. Its catalog spans binoculars, riflescopes, red dot sights, rangefinders, spotting scopes, and trail cameras, giving the brand a broad presence across both observation and shooting categories.

Over time, Bushnell has developed a reputation for offering optics that balance usability, recognizable feature sets, and wide model choice. The company’s product families include Legend, Prime, Elite Tactical, and AR Optics, covering everything from general outdoor use to more specialized tactical and precision applications. Bushnell has also introduced proprietary technologies such as EXO Barrier, a lens coating designed to repel water, oil, dust, and debris.
