Braun 1000 WH

• 4–1000 m laser rangefinding: covers short and long distances in one compact unit, making it useful for hunting, golf, hiking and general field measurement where targets can vary from nearby markers to distant objects.
• 6x monocular optics with 21 mm objective: gives enough magnification to identify the target clearly before ranging, while keeping the device small and easy to carry in a pocket or pack.
• Angle, height and speed functions: adds more than simple line-of-sight distance, helping with uphill or downhill shots, terrain assessment and moving-target measurement.
• Fog mode and illuminated internal display: improves readability and usability when visibility is reduced or ambient light changes, so measurements remain easier to interpret in the field.
• Compact 140 g housing: keeps the rangefinder light enough for all-day carry, while the waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction suits regular outdoor use.

About the Braun Rangefinders Series

Braun Rangefinders are compact laser measuring devices built for users who need straightforward distance data in the field without carrying a large optic. In Braun’s optics lineup, the series sits as a practical option for outdoor users who split their time between hunting optics, golf, hiking, sport shooting and general land observation. The emphasis is on combining a small monocular form with enough optical performance to locate a target quickly and enough electronic functionality to return useful measurements beyond basic line-of-sight distance.

Across the series, the design approach focuses on portable dimensions, simple menu-driven operation and multi-mode measurement. Depending on the model, users can expect functions such as distance, angle or slope compensation, height calculation, speed measurement and dedicated modes for conditions like fog. The optical side remains intentionally uncomplicated, with moderate magnification and a clear internal display that keeps the reading in view while observing the target. This makes the series well suited to users who value fast handling, low carried weight and practical ranging features over bulky housings or highly specialized controls.

About the Braun 1000 WH

The Braun 1000 WH is a compact laser rangefinder designed for users who need reliable distance measurement out to 1000.00 m in a housing that is easy to carry all day. Its 6.00 x magnification and 21.00 mm objective give the user enough image scale to pick out a target with confidence before taking a reading, while the 7.20 ° field of view helps maintain awareness of the surrounding area. That balance makes it practical for hunting, golf, hiking and general outdoor observation where quick target acquisition matters as much as the final number.

What sets this model apart is the way it combines standard ranging with additional field functions. Beyond a measuring span from 4.00 m to 1000.00 m, it offers angle, height and speed measurement, plus dedicated golf and fog modes. In practice, that means the 1000 WH can do more than report straight-line distance: it can help interpret sloped terrain, support ranging in misty conditions and provide speed readings up to 300 km/h. The internal display is illuminated for easier reading in changing light, and the auto turn-off function helps conserve battery power during longer outings.

The housing remains one of the model’s strongest practical advantages. At 105.00 mm long and only 140.00 g, it fits easily into a jacket or vest pocket and does not add much weight to a hunting or shooting kit. Waterproof, fogproof and shockproof construction improves day-to-day durability outdoors, while the fast-focus eyepiece helps bring the display and target image into view quickly. Tripod adaptability is also useful when steadier observation is needed for repeated measurements over distance.

About Braun

Karl Braun founded Karl Braun KG in 1915 in Germany, and the company’s roots were in optical instruments, metal goods and binoculars. That early focus on practical optical products still connects clearly with Braun’s present-day sport optics range. In 1948, the business became Carl Braun Camera-Werk Nürnberg, and in 2004 it adopted the name BRAUN Photo Technik GmbH.

Today, BRAUN Photo Technik is headquartered in Eutingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its optics portfolio includes binoculars and Ultralit spotting scopes, giving the brand an established place in accessible field optics as well as imaging products. Within that context, Braun rangefinders reflect the company’s long-standing emphasis on compact, functional optical equipment for outdoor use.
