Aimpoint Flipmount 30 mm

• Flip-to-side access: The FlipMount 30 mm lets a magnifier or other 30 mm tube optic move quickly in or out of the optical axis, so the rifle can switch from unmagnified speed to magnified observation without changing the main sight setup.
• TwistMount base included: This complete version includes the TwistMount base for direct installation on a Picatinny rail, giving a ready-to-mount solution instead of requiring separate mounting parts.
• Built for 30 mm optics: The 30 mm ring format is designed primarily for Aimpoint magnifiers, but it also supports other compatible 30 mm tube devices, which makes it useful across different sighting configurations.
• Quick attach and detach design: The mount is made for fast handling in the field, allowing the optic to be removed or repositioned with minimal interruption when the rifle setup needs to change.
• Steel construction: A steel body adds the rigidity needed for repeatable alignment and dependable retention on hard-use rifles, while the 0 MOA layout keeps the mounted optic in a neutral position.

About the Aimpoint Mounts Series

Aimpoint Mounts are built to support the company’s red dot sights and magnifier systems across a wide range of rifle platforms. The series covers solutions for Picatinny and other mounting interfaces, giving users a consistent way to adapt Aimpoint optics to hunting, sporting, and professional carbines. Within the range, Aimpoint offers fixed and quick-detach designs, as well as mounting heights intended for low mounting, co-witnessing, or magnifier use behind a red dot sight.

A defining trait of the series is its practical, system-based approach. Products such as the QRP2 and QRP3 focus on fast installation and repeatable positioning, while the company’s 30 mm ring assemblies are designed to work with several Aimpoint mounting platforms. That makes the series especially relevant for shooters who want to configure a rifle around a red dot and magnifier combination rather than treat each part as a separate accessory. Across the line, the emphasis stays on straightforward attachment, stable alignment, and compatibility with common weapon interfaces.

About the Aimpoint Flipmount 30 mm

The Aimpoint Flipmount 30 mm is a specialized mounting solution for shooters who want the flexibility of a magnifier or other 30 mm tube optic without giving up the speed of a non-magnified red dot sight. Its main role is to place the secondary optic directly behind the primary sight and then let it be flipped out of the optical path when magnification is no longer needed. In practice, that means a rifle can stay fast for close work while still gaining extra target detail for identification or more deliberate shots at longer distance.

This complete version includes the TwistMount base for direct attachment to a Picatinny rail, so it forms a ready-made mounting package rather than just a ring. Aimpoint designed the FlipMount primarily for use with its magnifiers, and that intended use is what gives the mount its value: it supports quick transitions between two sighting modes while keeping the rifle layout compact and easy to manage. The flip mechanism is especially useful on carbines and practical rifle setups where the shooter may move between open terrain and confined spaces during the same session.

The mount’s steel construction contributes to secure retention and long-term durability, while the 0 MOA configuration keeps the mounted optic aligned in a neutral, straight-through orientation. Finished in black, it matches typical tactical optics and rifle hardware. For users building around an Aimpoint red dot and magnifier combination, this mount provides a clean and purpose-built way to add magnification only when it is needed.

About Aimpoint

Aimpoint AB was founded in February 1975 in Malmö, Sweden, and the company is closely associated with the early development of modern red dot aiming technology. In the same year, it launched Aimpoint Electronic, recognized as the world’s first commercial red dot sight. Since then, Aimpoint has focused on red dot sights for hunting, sport shooting, and professional applications, building a reputation around simple operation, fast target acquisition, and durable construction.

The company’s product range has expanded from full-size tube sights to more specialized formats, including the compact Micro series and the Acro series introduced in 2018 for pistol use. Even with that broader lineup, Aimpoint remains a Swedish manufacturer best known for its expertise in red dot sight design and the mounting systems that support those optics on modern firearms.
