Rusan Pivot Mount Bases for Browning BAR

• Model-specific fit: Made for the Browning BAR platform, these pivot mount bases provide the correct footprint and hole pattern for a secure installation without improvised fitting.
• Steel construction: The steel body gives the bases the rigidity needed to keep the mounting interface stable under recoil and repeated use.
• Pivot-mount foundation: Designed for the Rusan Pivot Mounts system, these bases form the fixed rifle-side interface for a detachable swivel-style scope mount.
• Low-profile geometry: With a 5.50 mm base height and 0 MOA inclination, the bases keep the mounting setup straightforward and suitable for conventional hunting-scope alignment.
• Clean, durable finish: The black finish helps the bases match the rifle and optic mount while adding basic surface protection for field use.

About the Rusan Pivot Mounts Series

Rusan Pivot Mounts are part of the company’s dedicated line of firearm optics mounts, built around a classic swivel-style concept for hunters who want a removable scope setup with a repeatable mechanical interface. Within the broader Rusan catalog, the series sits alongside Picatinny rails, rings and adapters, but it is aimed specifically at rifles that benefit from a model-specific mounting solution rather than a universal rail.

The series includes both complete pivot mounts and pivot mounts sold without bases, which gives users flexibility when replacing only part of an existing setup or building a mount around a particular rifle interface. Rusan also offers variants for different rifle makes and mounting standards, including 11 mm prisms and Picatinny rails, as well as ring sizes for several scope tube diameters. Across the range, the emphasis is on steel construction and quick-release fixation, combining the solid feel of a traditional hunting mount with the convenience of a detachable optic system.

About the Rusan Pivot Mount Bases for Browning BAR

Rusan Pivot Mount Bases for Browning BAR are the rifle-side component of a pivot mounting system, intended for shooters who want to equip a Browning BAR with a detachable optic mount built around a precise, model-specific interface. Because the bases are made specifically for this rifle family, they provide the correct contact points and screw layout for a stable installation, which is essential for maintaining alignment between rifle and optic mount.

The use of steel is especially important in this type of component. A pivot system depends on the bases remaining dimensionally stable over time, so a rigid material helps the mount resist wear from recoil, repeated removal and reattachment, and general field handling. The 0 MOA inclination keeps the setup neutral, which suits conventional hunting rifles and standard sighting distances without introducing additional cant into the mounting geometry.

With a 5.50 mm height, these bases keep the interface compact while leaving the final optic height to the matching pivot mount assembly. Details such as the 6-48 thread and 4-hole layout reflect a purpose-built design rather than a generic base. In practice, this makes the product a suitable foundation for a traditional hunting optics setup where secure fit, repeatable positioning and compatibility with the Rusan pivot system matter more than unnecessary complexity.

About Rusan

Rusan-Mikron is a Croatian manufacturer based in Marija Bistrica, and the company’s roots in metalworking go back to 1983. The business grew from the Rusan family’s machining background, with Željko Rusan opening a gunsmith shop in 1986 and the company moving into scope mount production in 1993. That manufacturing history is directly relevant to products such as pivot mount bases, where machining accuracy and repeatable tolerances are central to performance.

Today, Rusan produces a broad range of firearms and optics accessories, including scope mounts, scope rings, Picatinny rails and firearm tuning products. The company is also well known for its adapters for night-vision and thermal-imaging devices, including the clip-on adapter clamp it introduced in 2009. This combination of traditional mount making and modern optics interface design gives Rusan a strong position in practical hunting and shooting accessories.
