Our Observations
When pressing the on/off button of the device, the manufacturer’s logo appears at approximately 3 seconds. We started pressing the “Menu” button when the logo appeared and discovered that the device is responsive as soon as we get the image. That means that the start-up and ready-to-use times are the same – approximately 4.43 seconds, which is quite fast.
For the Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35, we used the APS 5 Li-ion Battery Pack that is included in the box. The user has the option of having multiple batteries that can be switched while on the field in case the battery runs out.
The device is easy to handle, and the buttons are easy to press even if you are wearing gloves.
Pulsar Axion 2 XQ35 also has a Standby option, which is a remarkably useful battery-saving feature. With a short press of the on/off button, the screen turns off and the device enters the Standby mode. To use the device again, you simply press the on/off button, and the display appears immediately. The device is also instantly responsive to the users’ actions.
When turning the device off, you just simply hold the on/off button. The countdown (for how long you must hold the button to turn the device off) appears on the screen.
