Pulsar Axion 2 XG35
As with all Pulsar Axion devices, you only have to short press the on/off button for this device to start. The manufacturer’s logo appears approximately 2 and a half seconds after pressing the button. We started pressing the “Menu” button when the logo appeared to accurately portray the ready-to-use time and discovered that the device is responsive as soon as we get the image. That means that the start-up and ready-to-use times are the same – approximately 3.83 seconds, which is quite fast.
The device is easy to handle, and the buttons are easy to press even if you are wearing gloves. It features the classic Pulsar design, and the build quality appears to be up to the standard of Pulsar devices.
For the Pulsar Axion 2 XG35, we used the APS 5 Li-ion Battery Pack that is included in the box. As the battery is removable, you can bring multiple batteries with you in the field. This is a very convenient feature, which makes this device a good option for longer hunts.
Need a Spare Battery?
Pulsar produces multiple APS batteries: APS2, APS3, and APS5. You can charge the device with a Type-C charger, which is included in the package, or you can take the battery out and charge it with the Pulsar APS battery charger.
This Pulsar monocular also has a Standby option, which can save your battery. If you wish to enter the Standby mode, you must hold the on/off button until the countdown appears. Then release the button within the 3s countdown to active the standby mode. To exit the standby mode, short press the on/off button again to exit standby mode.
To turn the Pulsar Axion 2 XG35 off, the user must hold the on/off button, wait until the countdown is complete and the device turns off.
