Expansion of the GPO Rangeguide binoculars series
The Rangeguide series from GPO, first introduced in 2019 with the 10×50 model, has been a popular choice among hunters. Since its launch, the lineup has expanded to include three more models: the 8×50, 8×32, and 10×32. The larger 50mm models offer better light transmission, a common trait for binoculars of this size, while the 32mm versions are compact and light. Following customer feedback, GPO is now adding two more full-size models, the 8×40 and 10×40, to their Rangeguide series. These provide a balance between both worlds. We had the opportunity to check them out at Shot Show 2024 in Las Vegas.
Additional new products from GPO for 2024 include the Passion SD series of binoculars and the Rangetracker 2000, a rangefinding monocular.
Rangeguide’s functions
The GPO Rangeguide binoculars include several features: equivalent horizontal range for angle compensation, automatic illumination adjustment, and are equipped with humidity, temperature, and pressure sensors for additional accuracy. Additionally, they have a Scan mode which provides readings incredibly fast (4 measurements per second), as well as Best and Last target modes among other functionalities. GPO has extended the laser range from 2800 meters to 3200 meters for reflective targets. Currently, none of GPO’s rangefinding binoculars are equipped with an advanced ballistics computer.
From an optical standpoint, Rangeguide binoculars remain among the top performers in their price category. GPO achieves this through the use of double HD glass technology along with their GPObright lens coating.
Stylish GPO look
Similar to all GPO binoculars, the Rangeguide features a stylish look, thanks to its sleek all-black design and premium finish. The binoculars are encased in a magnesium housing and finished with a durable rubber coating for an enhanced grip and protection.
