General Information about Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i L-4a

The Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i L-4a is a versatile all-around riflescope that can be used in various hunting situations, but it will perform best at stalking and perhaps, due to higher FOV, even drive hunting. Considering it can also be purchased with Leica’s BDC turrets, it will undoubtedly be used in mounting hunting as well.

It is equipped with a Second Focal Plane reticle and it comes with L-4a reticle option.

Like all models in the Fortis 6 series, this one, too, is built to be rugged, and resistant to impacts and falls. It is also waterproof and the lenses are coated with an extra layer of AquaDura coating to protect against potential damage. The design is compact, lightweight, and minimalistic, making it easy to handle and adjust. It can be mounted with rings or on a ZM/VM rail.

Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i L-4a was made in Portugal and comes with a 10-year warranty.

Leica Calonox Sight – A Perfect Match for the New Fortis

Even though Leica Fortis 6 1.8-12x42i L-4a can be used well into the evening hours, it alone will not perform well in dusk or nighttime. For that, the manufacturer recommends the use of the Leica Calonox Sight thermal imaging device for hunting in low-light conditions, as it’s easy to attach and calibrate.
